Chapter 14 - The secret is out

Cyd's P.O.V.

We walked into the garage lab but they were nowhere to be seen so we decided to wait there for a bit. 20 minutes later the door opened and Barry and Shelby came in.

"What are you guys doing here?" Barry asked.

"We are hanging out because some people ditched us" I said.

"We're so sorry it's just...." Shelby started.

"You guys are dating, we know" I said and smirked.

"Uhm yeah... how did you know that?" Shelby said surprised.

"We saw you at the mall, watched you getting into a photobooth and then eavesdropped" I said.

"I'm sorry... I really wanted to tell you Cyd but Barry wasn't ready and we were worried that it would make the four of us relationship weird" Shelby said.

"It's okay Shelbs, really. Although I don't get what you see in Barry but I'm really happy for you. Turns out, your future plan might actually go as planned! " I said and smiled.

"I'm really happy for you guys as well. And good job Barry, you finally made it out of the friendzone. I'm so proud of you. Shelby, did you knew that he's had a crush on you since the 4th grade?" Naldo said and smiled.

"Yeah I know,he told me that when we admitted out feelings for eachother during the carnival last week when we had defeated Madison and her dad. I think it's super cute how he 6 years later still liked me." Shelby said and smiled widely.

"To bad all 4th grade crushes don't end up like Barry's...." I mumbled. "Anyways Barry I need you tell me how you got out from the friendzone" I said in a normal thone so everyone heard.

"Why do you want to know that?" Barry said.

"Because she also likes someone and is in the friendzone" Naldo said and looked over at me.

"Oh... well I'm not that good with emotions as you all know so it's more thanks to Shelby that I even admitted that I like her" Barry said.

"Shelbs how did you realize you liked him as more than a friend?" I asked and turned to her.

"I just listened to my heart which showed me that he's the one who's been by my side forever and always tried to cheer me up when I was sad or heartbroken" Shelby said.

"Great so there's nothing I can do to get out from the friendzone... I just have to wait for him to realize it himself which probably never will happen because he's stupid" I said and ran out from the garage.

I sat leaned against the hot tub and felt a small tear fall down my cheek. I didn't even noticed that Shelby came out.

"Cyd... are you okay?" She asked worridly.

"No...." I said and looked up at her.

"That in there was about Naldo wasn't it?" She said.

"Yeah... I just... I love all things about him but I wish he was atleast a tiny bit smarter so he'd realize I like him.... I mean when we aged back to 9, you made it pretty clear that I had a crush on someone who we called hat boy and yet he thought there was someone else who wore hats everyday even if we all know he's the only one who does it our school...." I said and bit my lip.

"Maybe we should tell Barry. I mean he could try to talk to Naldo and enlighten him with his smartness." Shelby said.

"I don't know Shelbs..." I said and shrugged.

"Well figure something out okay... like maybe we could travel to the future and see if you are meant to be with him or not...." She said.

"I guess could work... and if I'm not married to him then I guess I'll just have to get over my crush. Let's do it right now" I said.

"Okay then to our 30's it is" Shelby said and we hugged.

I opened my eyes and I was outside an unfamiliar house and Shelby was nowhere to be seen. I took a time selfie and watched how I looked as a 34 year old woman. Honestly I was still going strong with my fashion game, it was just abit more grown up. I looked around and noticed the mailbox which said Montoya. That must mean that Naldo lives here right? I walked to the door and pulled down the handle and to my surprise the door opened so I slowly stepped inside.

"Mommy is home! Mommy is home!" I heard a toddler girl voice say and all of a sudden she came running towards me.

She looked just like me except that her eyes were green. She hugged my legs and I just stood there completely frozen. Is this my daughter?
