Chapter 9 - I don't understand

Cyd's P.O.V.

"Why hasn't anything changed? He should be himself by now and Madison should still be in New York" I said.

"I don't know, we need to ask Barry" Shelby said.

We ran over to Barry's locker and found him.

"Barry! Nothing has changed at all. Naldo is still not himself and Madison is still here" I said.

"What really? But you stopped them from getting to know right?" Barry said.

"Yes we did but it didn't even changed anything... What we should we do now?" I said.

"I have no idea to be honest" Barry said.

"We're doomed, if Barry doesn't know what to do then nobody does... I can't believe we'll never get Naldo back" I said sadly.

"Don't be sad Cyd, we'll figure something out right Barry?" Shelby said.

"Yeah we will" Barry said and nodded.

"I really hope so" I said.

The rest of the week went and now it was friday. Tonight there would be a carnival right next to our school. I went there with Shelby and we started to play some games and go on some rides. I had so much fun and all of a sudden I got a text from Naldo.

Please meet me in the school commons. I want to talk with you about something important

I got curious and told Shelby that I'd go and ger some candy floss. I walked away and then ran over to the school building. I opened the door and walked inside. I looked around for Naldo but he was nowhere.

"Hey Cyd" I heard him from behind me.

I turned around to see him next to the door that I just came in through.

"Hi Naldo... what did you wanted to talk about?" I said.

"Oh nothing, Madison just told me to make you come here so I did" He said coldly.

"Yes I did... hello Cyd" I heard Madison's voice say.

I turned around once more and saw her coming down the stairs.

"What do you want from me?" I said.

"Well your powers" She said and crossed her arms.

"You're not even supposed to know about them. Me and Shelby went back and made sure that you didn't got to know it" I said.

"Well you forgot to stop her from writing a letter which me and my dad got after aunt Janet disappeared. " She said.

She walked towards me and I backed away until I walked into a locker.

"You can't escape me Cyd. Either you tell me how to get your time travel powers or you can say goodbye to your friend here" She said and pointed to Naldo who had came and stood next to her.

"What have you done to him! This is not who he is, now he's more of a robot than a human" I said.

"It's my dad's new invention. He obeys me and I can control his thoughts" She said and smiled evily.

"Please leave him out of this! If you want me then attack me but Naldo hasn't done anything wrong. I'm the one with the powers not him" I said loudly.

"Okay sure if that's what you want. Tell me your secret" She said.

"I'll never tell you how we got out powers, never" I shouted.

"Then I guess I have no other choice than to make you tell me by violence and torture." She said.

In that moment her dad Dave came in and started to torture Naldo. I watched him hit, punch and shock him with an elctric thing. Naldo fell down to the floor and I got really hurt by seeing them do this to Naldo.

"Okay fine! I'll tell you just don't hurt him please" I said as a tear fell down my cheek.

"I knew it would be easy to get to you, not to wonder that you're the weakest link. You care way to much about this stupid and weird guy" She said.

"Stop being so mean! You don't deserve someone as good as Naldo. He might not be that smart but he's the funniest, sweetest and most caring person you'll ever meet!" I said and ran to Naldo.

I kneeled down and felt tears streaming down my face.

"Please come back to me Naldo.... I miss you" I said while crying.
