Chapter 12 - I wish he'd remember

Cyd's P.O.V.

I felt someone stroking their fingers through my hair and slowly opened my eyes to see that it's Naldo who's doing it and that I was lying on his shoulder.

"N-Naldo?" I said.

"We fell asleep in the snack closet. The clock is already 5 pm" He said and took away his hand from my hair.

"Oh... do you think Barry and Shelby are done out there?" I said and sat up.

"Yeah, it's really quiet" He said.

He stood up and reached out his hand to help me up. I took it and got up as well. We then opened the door and walked out in the now empty garage lab. We walked outside and arrived in the Marcus' backyard.

"I guess I'll go home now, but I'll see you tomorrow" Naldo said.

"Yeah see you tomorrow" I said.

He walked away and I walked inside of the Marcus house. In the kitchen I saw Astrid cooking her amazing lasagna.

"Yay! I love your lasagna" I said and smiled.

"Thanks Cyd. Also Shelby wondered were you were, she's upstairs in your room" Astrid said.

"Oh okay, thanks Astrid" I said and walked upstairs.

I walked into our room and saw Shelby sit on her bed with her laptop. I plopped down next to her.

"Hey Shelbs, what are you doing?" I said.

"Oh hi Cyd, I'm just looking on Tradeskees abit. Where have you been?" She said.

"I've just been out for awhile and I walked into Naldo so I ended up hanging out with him." I said and smiled.

"Well that's nice" She said.

"Yeah.... Shelbs...." I said.

"Yeah what is it Cyd?" She said and closed the lid on her laptop.

"In the other timeline... before you and Barry came in to the school were Madison and her dad was with me and Naldo.... a thing kinda happened...." I said and bit my lip.

"What happened?" She said.

"Well they hurt Naldo to make me tell them the secret to time travel.... I kneeled down beside him and while crying I kinda told him that I like him... as more than a friend" I said.

"Oh really?" She said and widened her eyes.

"Yeah but sadly he doesn't remember that because future us replaced that time line with this one were Madison didn't even lived here in Portland..." I said sadly.

"Why don't you just tell him again? I mean you dared to do it in the other time line...." She said.

"That's the thing Shelbs, I only told him because of the situation. I thought he was dying and like it was the end... it all was just such a horrible scene.... and now I can't because if he doesn't like me back I'll ruin our friendship forever and nothing will be the same" I said.

"Oh Cyd.... I promise you everything will be alright. If you want I can help you to find out if he does like you back or not" She said and hugged me.

"I guess it's worth a try, thanks Shelbs" I said and hugged her back.

"That's no problem, operation get Cyldo together is on!" She said and smiled.

I pulled away from her hug and looked at her confused.

"What the heck is Cyldo?" I asked.

"It's you and Naldo's shipname! Cy from Cyd plus ldo from Naldo equals Cyldo!" She said and smiled.

"Awwh, I like that. It sounds really cute" I said and smiled.

"Well duh! Of course it is because you two would be super cute together!" She said and smiled.

I laughed and in that moment Astrid called that it was dinner.

"Lasagna time!" I said and laughed as we ran downstairs together.
