Chapter 11 - Sherry's Secret

Naldo's P.O.V.

We had so much fun at the carnival and now it was the day after, saturday. I had no plans so as usual I walked over to the garage lab to help Barry with some science experiment. As I walked in I got surprised because he was not there and instead I saw Cyd sitting on the couch and watching something on the TV.

"Come on girl! Just tell him you like him! It freaking obvious he likes you too why are you so freaking blind!" She yelled at the TV.

I couldn't help but smile, she was so adorable. I slowly walked over and sat next to her.

"Hey Cyd! What are you watching?" I said.

"Oh hi Naldo, I don't really know. It's some cheesy movie that started playing when I put on the TV but it'a surprisingly good." She said and smiled.

"Nice, so why aren't you with Shelby?" I asked.

"She was going to some craft fair the whole day and I got bored just being up in our room so I walked here to bug Barry but he wasn't here when I came" She said.

"I noticed that, I came here to see if he was doing some experiment but when I came in here he wasn't here and instead you sat here" I said.

In that moment my phone buzzed in my pocket. I took it up and it was a text from Barry which said:

I can't do any experiment with you today Renaldo, I have to do some family stuff so please stay away from the garage. I don't want it to explode like the RV did or you for that matter.

"Who was that?" Cyd asked.

"Barry, he had to do something with his family today and I'm not allowed in here because he thinks I'm going to make the garage or myself explode. I guess I'll have to leave." I said.

"Oh well if you don't touch anything you could stay. You know I'd love some company" She said and smiled.

"Hey that's true. No touching his science stuff and it will be like I never was here" I said.

Just in that moment we heard voices and footsteps coming closer.

"So the lab is all ours today Shelby. I texted Naldo to not come here today!" I heard Barry say.

"That's great. I told Cyd I'd go to a craft fair the whole day and she said she was going to watch Netflix the whole day in bed" I heard Shelby say.

"Naldo we need to get out of here!" Cyd said as she turned off the TV.

"Slight problem though, there's only one way out and that way is were Barry and Shelby are heading for" I said.

"Then let's hide! Come on!" Cyd said and grabbed my hand.

She pulled me with her into Barry's snack closet and shut the door after us just as the front door opened.

"Maybe we should tell them Barry... I mean they are our friends" Shelby said.

"We can't. It would just make things weird" Barry said.

"Yeah that's true" Shelby said.

"Let's just watch that movie shall we?" Barry said.

"Yeah I've looked forward to see it so much" Shelby said.

We then heard the TV go on and the movie Cyd was watching continued.

"Hey this is weird, I was sure I rewinded it so that it would play right from the start. I guess my sister Brittany must have watched it or something before I brought it here yesterday." Barry said.

"Probably, let's just go back to the menu and choose play from the start" Shelby said.

The sound from movie all of a sudden stopped and then it came back but not from were it had been before. Guess they restarted it. I looked down at Cyd.

"What are they doing watching a movie together and why did they kept it as a secret from us?" Cyd whispered.

"I have no idea... I guess we're stuck in here for a while though..." I whispered.

"Great that movie is about two hours long. What the heck are we supposed to do in here for that long?" Cyd whispered.

"I don't know...." I whispered.

We sat down on the floor in the snack closet which wasn't much space since the snack closet was really small. We sat there and listened to the sound from the movie on the other side of the door and then I don't remember anything else. I quickly opened my eyes and saw Cyd sleeping with her head on my shoulder. Outside of the closet it was quiet. I looked at my phone, the clock was 5 pm. We must have fell asleep while waiting for Barry and Shelby to finish the movie and leave the lab. I looked over at Cyd. She looked so peaceful and cute while she was sleeping. I smiled for myself and started to run my fingers through her long and soft brown hair.

"N-Naldo?" She said as she opened her eyes.
