Chapter 29 - The date

Cyd's P.O.V.

I ran inside and upstairs to mine and Shelby's room. As I came in Shelby was sitting at the bench in front of her round window with the laptop in her lap.

"Guess what! Guess what! Guess what!" I said excitedly as I plopped down next to her.

"What happened to you? Did you ate to much candy again? I told you, sugar makes you really hyper!" Shelby said.

"Oh no, I haven't ate one single candy! And besides what just happened is way better than all the candy in the world!" I said.

"Now this is exciting, something makes Cyd Ripley more excited than candy! What is it?" Shelby said and put away her laptop.

"Naldo asked me out!" I said and smiled widely.

"Really?! Oh my god, I'm so happy for you!" Shelby said and hugged me tightly.

"I'm so happy! I've waited 6 years for this! And tomorrow I might finally get to be his girlfriend!" I said and hugged her back.

"Well duh! Your going to marry him in the future remember! I'm happy that we did end up marrying best friends like I always wanted, and the fact that it's Barry and Naldo is 100 times better! You have to tell him about our future at the date! When is it anyways?" Shelby said and smiled widely as she pulled away from the hug.

"It's tomorrow evening and I will. I can't wait to see his face when I tell him he'll get a son named Renaldo" I said and chuckled.

We then talked abit more before going to bed. The next day Shelby dragged me to the mall to get something to wear for mine and Naldo's date. She said I couldn't just wear my regular jeans and tee combination. I told her I'd not go all fancy and she said that I didn't had too. Naldo likes me for who I am and she knew that, she just wanted me to not wear pants for once. I agreed with her because I found a faux leather skater skirt that was really cool. I also got a  grey tee with some white print on it. After our little shopping session we got some smoothies and decided to take some pictures in a photobooth. As we got home it was about time for me to get ready. I changed into the tee and skirt that I bought earlier together with a pair of black tights. Before putting on my black biker boots I also put on some socks over the tights which had stripes that was seen over the edge of the boots. I then twisted two sections of my hair on both side of my face and secured them together at the back of my head with a hair tie and Shelby did my makeup. She did some smokey eyes and some natural nude/pink lips. I then finished by putting on my purple jacket which had some pins on the collar. I remember that I wore it when me and Naldo won that boat which turned him to a crazy person.

"How do I look?" I said and turned to Shelby.

"You look amazing Cyd! Naldo's going to love it!" She said and smiled.

"I hope so, gosh I don't know why but I'm so nervous..." I said and bit my lip.

"Well it's your first proper date, I mean when you went on the date with Joaquin it was a double date with me and Drake. Now it's only going to be you and Naldo. Also I think it's a bit because of the fact that it's Naldo you're going out with. But it will go great, just be you" She said and smiled.

"I guess, it's still so surreal that I'm going out with my crush since the 4th grade..." I said and laughed a little.

In just that moment the door bell went and I looked over at Shelby.

"It must be Naldo! Go!" She said and pushed me towards the stairs.

I ran down the stairs and took a deep breathe before I opened the door. There he was, Naldo Montoya, the most amazing guy in the world. He was wearing one of his fun shirts but this time with all the buttons done up and of course he wore a cute fedora hat.

"Hi Naldo" I said and smiled.

"Woah! Hi Cyd, you look amazing" he said and smiled as he widened his eyes.

"Thanks, you look really good yourself" I said and smiled.

"Thanks, so are you ready to go?" He said.

"Yeah" I said and nodded.

I said bye to Astrid who were in the kitchen and cooking dinner and then I walked outside. Naldo and me took the bus to the mall were he walked me to an italian restaurant. As we walked inside he said his name to the waiter and the waiter showed us to our table which Naldo had reserved. We sat down and got the menus.

"Oh my gosh, this is impossible. There's so much good food here!" I said while looking through the menu.

"Yeah, I've heard that the pizzas here is amazing so maybe we should try them and see for ourselves" Naldo said.

"Oh really? Then I have to try one for sure" I said and smiled.

We then ordered a pizza each and two cokes. The evening went and we had an amazing time. We shared our pizzas and they literally was the best pizzas I've ever tasted. I have never laughed so much as I did that evening. We ended the dinner with the most delicious chocolate cake for dessert. About 9 o'clock we was finally done and Naldo payed for everything. We then walked out from the restaurant.

"So what now?" I asked.

"Let's go for a walk in the park" Naldo said.

"Okay sure" I said and nodded.

We walked towards the park and suddenly I felt Naldo taking my hand in his. I looked down and intertwined our fingers and smiled for myself as we continued to walk.

A/N

Finally a new chapter! So both tuesday and wednesday I was really busy with other stuff so I didn't got time to write anything at all. Then thursday and yesterday I was just too lazy to write to be honest. But enough about me, I hope you liked the chapter!

Also by the way, the next chapter will sadly be the last chapter of this story :( I have loved to write this but now when Cyldo is happening I don't know how to continue on so I think it's best to finish it. But if you like my stories I have loads more chapters of the Randry story left and then I have two new stories that haven't published yet which I hope you all will like as well so 😊
