Chapter 27 - Battle of the boybands

Cyd's P.O.V.

It was now friday evening and me, Shelby and Barry were in the mall. The boyband competion would start soon but Naldo was nowhere to be seen. I had tried to call and text him but he didn't picked up or replied to me.

"I can't believe it, he promised to be here it's starting in any minute!" I said really frustrated.

"I'm sure he'll come Cyd, maybe something has happened which caused him to be late. You can never know that" Shelby said and tried to calm me down.

"If so he'd text me that he's late but he's ignoring me. Have I done something to him which made him hate be because the whole day in school earlier he was his happy self" I said.

"You have not done anything Cyd. He'll be here before it ends, I know that" Barry said.

"How can you know that? Do you know anything that we don't?" I said.

"Well maybe I do. Me and Renaldo has secrets that we only shares with eachother just like you two do. Besides he'd never hate you, he likes you way to much" Barry said.

"Wait.... he likes me? As a friend or?" I said surprised.

"Yeah, I'm probably not allowed to tell you this but he actually likes you as more than a friend... He has for a while actually" Barry said.

"Yes! He likes me back!" I said and smiled widely as I attacked Shelby in a hug.

"Well duh, you two did got married in the future remember?" Shelby said and laughed as she hugged me back.

"I know, I'm just so happy that I don't have to wait for years until we get together! I can't wait to tell him about our future twins" I said happily.

"You like him back?" Barry asked.

"Well yeah... I've actually had a crush on him since the 4th grade... and oh Barry! Has Shelby told you that you kind of named one of mine and Naldo's future children in the future?" I said.

"Oh that's nice... and no she didn't" Barry said.

"It's so cute because one of our twins who's a boy is named Renaldo which is what you call Naldo! Ahh it's so cute" I said and smiled.

"Oh really? Haha nice. Well I promise you Cyd, he'll show up here before the show ends" Barry said.

"Okay, I really hope that you're right" I said.

The competition then started and me, Shelby and Barry stood in the back of the audience and watched all the groups perform. Now it was the last groups turn and Naldo was still nowhere to be seen.

"And lastly but not least, here's our last competitors. Give a warm hand to Forever In Your Mind with their original song Sweet Little Something!" The host said.

We clapped and three boys walked out on the stage. I noticed that Cameron and his friend Leon from school was there but as I spotted the third member my eyes grew wider. There, up on the stage, was Naldo. He noticed me in the audience and smiled at me as he sang the first solo. I left Shelby and Barry and made my way to the front of the crowd, a few seconds later I stood in the front row. I looked at Naldo who seemed to have really fun but always looked at me, almost like he sang the song to me. The song was cheesy but somehow I didn't mind it. I was in a completely taken by Naldo's angelic voice. I had no idea he was such a good singer, I felt butterflies in my tummy and started to sing along because the song was actually really catchy and surprisingly good. As they finished I cheered along with the crowd and got eye contact with Naldo for a few seconds. He smiled widely at me and I smiled back before he left the stage with the other two. The host came back and said that they would have a little break while the jury decided the winners. I recognized two girls I knew from school named Emma and Lily whom were standing beside me.

"I mean can he be more perfect! I wonder if he's single or not because he'd be the perfect boyfriend!" Lily said.

"I know right! He's always so adorable being all stupid and wearing his cute fedora hats!" Emma said.

Are they talking about Naldo? I mean they must be since he's the only one who wears fedora hats everyday.

"Hi girls" I said to them as I turned to face them and smiled.

"Oh hi Cyd!" Emma said and smiled.

"Hi! You're friends with Naldo right? Do you know if he's single or not because we love him!" Lily said.

"Yeah... uhm actually he has a girlfriend..." I said without really thinking.

"He does? Aww man, do you know who she is?" Emma said.

"Actually I do because it's.... it's me. I'm his girlfriend" I said and smiled. I probably shouldn't be lying but Barry said Naldo likes me as more than a friend which means that we might get together pretty soon.

"Really? You are so lucky!" Emma said and smiled.

"Yeah so lucky... but you two look so cute together so it's okay" Lily said and smiled.

"I know and thanks." I said and smiled.

I talked abit more with them before it was time to present the winners. The host went up on the stage with an envelope.

"We now have a result! We've heard so many talented young boys today but only one band can win and that's the band who's name is inside of this envelope. So the winners is........" The host said.

He started to open the envelope and took out a paper. He read it and and then looked up.

"Forever In Your Mind!" He said.

I started to cheer and clapped my hands together with the other's in the audience. Naldo, Cameron and Leon came out and got their prize. I smiled widely at Naldo.

"Whooo go Naldo!" I shouted and smiled.

Naldo looked over at me and chuckled. He and the other's got photographed with the host and then they walked off the stage and the competition was over. I said bye to Lily and Emma and ran over to Shelby and Barry.

"That was amazing! I know I normally doesn't like boyband music but Naldo was so good! The song was cheesy, I have to admit that, but so sweet and romantic, it was like he sang to me!" I said and jumped up and down of excitement.

"Awwh, yeah it was. You should go and find him and finally tell him that you love him!" Shelby said and smiled.

"I will, Barry did you know about this the whole time?" I said and looked over at Barry.

"Yeah I did or well since yesterday after you two left the garage lab" Barry said and smiled.

Shelby and Barry then decided to go home but I stayed infront of the stage to look for Naldo.

Gosh I'm smiling like crazy! This was such a cute chapter to write! I'm now going to write a chapter on my Randry story so that should be up in a bit as well! Hope you all liked this chapter!

This story is about to come to an end though but you'll atleast get 3 more chapters of it. And as I finish a story I always has new ones that I'll start so if you like my stories you won't have to miss them. The Randry story will be a few chapters longer than this story though so look forward to that!
