Chapter 26 - Hanging out in the lab

Naldo's P.O.V.

I went with Cameron and Leon to the music room in school and got to sing for them. They liked what they heard so I became the third and final member of their band called Forever In Your Mind. It was now thursday and school had ended a while ago. I had met up with Cameron and Leon to practise for the last time before tomorrow. We had wrote our own song called Sweet Little Something. Most of it I had came up with though while thinking about Cyd and the guys liked it. I was now on my way home but decided to stop by the garage lab as I didn't had spent that much time there this week. I opened the door and walked inside to see Barry and Shelby cuddling in the couch while Cyd was watching a wrestling game on the TV.

"Hey guys!" I said.

"Naldo! Thanks so much for coming! It's so boring here being the thirdwheel for these two" Cyd said and smiled as she pointed at Shelby and Barry.

"Where have you been Renaldo?" Barry asked.

"Uhm I had some stuff to do after school" I said.

"You haven't been doing science with me this whole week. I really miss it, and my best friend" Barry said sadly.

"I'm so sorry Barry. After tomorrow I'm going to do loads of science with you again, I promise. I've missed it and you too" I said and smiled.

"Okay good" Barry said and smiled back.

"Omg!" Shelby all of a sudden said and squealed.

"What is it Shelbs?" Cyd said.

"There's a battle of the boyband competition tomorrow at the mall! We need to go! I love boybands!" Shelby said.

"I know, you played that boyband song on repeat yesterday and it was the cheesiest song ever! Sorry Shelbs but that's not my kind of music, there's no way that I'll go and listen to a cheesy song competition." Cyd said.

"Oh come on Cyd! It will be fun because you'll be with me!" Shelby said.

"I'm not going Shelbs, you can't persuade me" Cyd said and leaned back.

I looked at her and got abit sad. I had wrote our competition song about her and she hates that kind of music. I need her to be there and hear it so she'll see that I feel the same way about her.

"Uhm Cyd..." I said.

"Yeah?" She said and turned to look at me.

"I know you hate that kind of music but what if I'll come too? We always has such a great time on concerts together, like for example both the Adele and Austin Moon concerts. Maybe it doesn't matter what music it is if you got good company?" I said, hoping to have better luck than Shelby.

"We do have a blast together.... you know what I'll go but only because you'll come too" she said and smiled.

I smiled back and was about to say something but Shelby beat me to it.

"Seriously? You refuse to go when your best friend wants you too but whatever he wants to do you immidiately wants to join." She said.

"What no that's not what I meant, you know I love you Shelbs!" Cyd said.

"I know, I'm just kidding Cyd. Someone's just so in love at the moment" Shelby said and smirked.

I saw Cyd blushing deep red and the girls then decided to go back to the Marcus' house. Me and Barry said bye to the girls and as they had left I looked over at Barry.

"So what are we going to do now Barry?" I said.

"I guess I'll have to go home soon too for dinner but do you want to help me with some science stuff before?" He said.

"Sure that would be really fun!" I said.

We started doing some science but I couldn't stop worrying about if Cyd would like the song tomorrow or not.

"Renaldo? Are you okay?" Barry said.

"Yeah... I'm just abit nervous...." I said.

"For what?" He said.

"You know that I haven't been doing science with you this week. It's because I'm going to be in the battle of the boyband competition tomorrow together with Cameron and Leon from school, so we had to write a song and practised loads...." I said.

"Oh, well I'm sure it will go great. I mean at the last battle of the boyband competition you did pretty well when we ended up on the stage by mistake" He said.

"I know... that's not what makes me nervous though... it's Cyd... The song is kind of about her and I really like her man. But she said she hates cheesy songs..." I said.

"Don't worry, somehow you guys will end up together anyways..." He said.

"Wait what? How do you know that?" I said confused.

"The other day Shelby talked about when she and Cyd visited their future and she said we all married eachother and lived next door to each other" He said.

"Oh... then I guess somehow it will end good even if she hates it... Also Barry..." I said.

"Yes Renaldo?" He said.

"Promise that you won't tell Cyd about that I'm going to be in the competition, I want it to be a surprise" I said.

"Okay, I promise" He said.

We then did some more science until both of us had to go home.

Guess who's back!

I don't know how many of you who read my message that I posted last friday on my wall but this weekend I wasn't home. I flied to Manchester last friday and came home again at midnight on sunday. I took a little break from writing as I was on a trip but now I'm back again. I was meant to post yesterday and I started to write this chapter yesterday evening but never finished it. Now I have though, here in school while waiting for class to start.
