Chapter 10 - You're hat boy

Cyd's P.O.V.

I cried and cried, the tears never wanted to stop. I took Naldo's hands in mine and remembered something I'd seen in a tv-show. The main character was in a similiar situation when her loved one was hurt and it ended with her confessing her feelings to him because she didn't knew if he'd survive or if it was the end.

"Naldo... if you can hear me and if the real you is still in there you have to fight against the invention that Madison used on you and take back the control over your own mind... I need you to come back because I don't think I'd be able to live without you and without you Barry will go off the deep end and turn evil like the time we butterfly effected, remember.... You're Naldo Montoya, the most random and crazy guy I've ever met. You're not the smartest and you're really weird but that's what makes you you and I like everything about you. You're really sweet and cares about everyone and I've never showed this but I care really much about you. You mean as much to me as Shelby means to me... I don't know if this is the end or not but I have something to tell you.... Do you remember when me and Shelby travelled back to kindergarten and when we got back we started to age backwards. When we were 9 and you were like babysitting us while Barry tried to figure out how to get us back to normal, Shelby talked about a crush that I had in 4th grade... She said I used to shush and punch him in the arm everytime he spoke and when you joined in and asked stuff, I shushed you and punched you in the arm... and then she even said that my crush always wore hats and that we called him hat boy... You being your stupid self thought there was another guy who wore hats like yourself but there isn't.... Hat boy from 4th grade is you Naldo.... I had a crush on you and I still do... I like you way more than you'd ever know... when you ditched me to go and see the movie with Madison you broke my heart and I used time travel to crash your date and then I was stupid and told you to talk with her after. I guess I just care way to much about you and wants you to be happy which you were with her but now all of this has happened and your not yourself... I miss my friend Naldo who never left his house without one of his adorable fedora hats and always wears colorful and patterned shirts that always makes me smile.... I miss the Naldo that I love" I said and squeezed his hands tight.

"Awwh, this is so tragic yet so entertaining... just tell us the secret to time travel already" Madison said.

I looked up at her and in that moment I felt my hands being squeezed back. I looked down to see Naldo opening his eyes.

"Naldo...." I said slowly.

"C-Cyd... what happened?" He asked and sat up.

"Madison is evil and she changed you..." I said.

"What the heck am I wearing?" He asked confused as he looks down at himself.

Before I even got the chance to answer him the doors opened and two people bursted into the school.

"Cyd!" I heard Shelby yell.

I looked up to see her come running followed by Barry.

"Shelbs! Thank god you're here" I said and smiled widely as I stood up.

"What the heck has happened here?" She asked.

"I don't have time to tell you so I will as fast as we defeat Madison and her dad. Come on we need to use our friendship to create that beam that we created when we defeated Janet!" I said and took her hand.

I pointed it towards Madison and her dad and truly belived in us that we could to it and that everything would turn out good in the end.

"Renaldo are you okay?" I heard Barry say to Naldo.

"Yeah I'm fine, I'm so glad to see you though Barry. I'm also so sorry that I never came to the lab. I've missed experimenting with you" Naldo said and hugged Barry.

"It's okay Renaldo, it's not your fault" Barry said and awkwardly hugged him back.

All of a sudden a beam of light came from mine and Shelby's hands and it hit Madison and her dad. Both of them fell to the floor and passed out. In that moment a time rift opened and out came the future me and Shelby whom we already met when we defeated Janet.

"Hey past us! We thought you could use some help" Future me said.

"Well yeah. Could you take these two to time jail?" I said and pointed to Madison and her dad who lied on the floor all passed out.

"I think one villain in time jail is enough but I know something better to do with them. We'll reset their minds and send you all back to a new time line were they never find the letter that Janet wrote to them which contained the secret. You two stopped her from telling them herself but she did write a letter right after you two travelled back to present time. In the new world they will be in New York and you'll never have met them. Although you two will remember what has happened in this time line but nobody else will" Future Shelby said.

"That sounds great future me" Shelby said and smiled.

"So Naldo and Barry won't remember this either?" I asked and looked back at them.

"I'm afraid not kid but don't worry. You'll find a way to tell him again, I promise you" Future me said.

"Okay then I guess you can reset the time line..." I said and bit my lip.

Future me and Shelby took eachother's hands and closed their eyes. All of a sudden a flash of light came and all of a sudden me and Shelby were outside at the carnival again and the time were back to when we arrived here before the fight with Madison and her dad happened.

"Look! Apparently Madison is a famous model in New York in this time line were they didn't found out about our secret" Shelby said and showed me her phone screen.

"Well that's better than what just happened... Let's just enjoy the carnival now" I said.

"Yeah that sounds great!" Shelby said.

We walked into the carnival area and spotted Barry and Naldo. My eyes lit up when I saw Naldo. He was wearing his normal clothes, a colorful shirt with ice creams on and a fedora hat. I smiled and ran over to him.

"Omg Naldo you're yourself again!" I said and attacked him in a hug.

"Uhm what do you mean Cyd? Why wouldn't I be myself?" He said confused as he hugged me back a little.

I let go of him and looked into his eyes when I realized that no one of them remember what happened in the other time line. It made me kinda said as I had dared to confess my feelings for him but he doesn't remember that.

"That's a long story... which have with time travel to do..." I said and looked at Shelby.

"Come let's go and sit down somewhere and we'll tell you" Shelby said.

We then walked away and sat down at a table. Me and Shelby told them everything about Madison and her dad and how Madison changed Naldo. I didn't said anything about what I told Naldo when I thought he'd die.

"I'm glad everything worked out and got back to normal again" Barry said.

"Yeah me too, I can't be without my hats and shirts. That's just horrible. Now let's go enjoy the carnival" Naldo said.

We all nodded and spent the rest of the evening playing games, eating sweets and going on rides. I had such a great time so I completely forgot that Naldo doesn't remember that I told him that I'm in love with him.

A/N

Yay Naldo is fine and Cyd confessed her feelings but sadly Naldo doesn't remember it since it happened in the other time line. Poor Cyd :(

I smiled so much while writing her long monologue guys. I hope you guys liked the chapter and remember when I asked you guys if you wanted some Sherry/Shelbarry moments in this story? Well it will come some soon so look out for that ;)
