Chapter 24 - Standing up to Asher

Cyd's P.O.V.

It was now monday and yesterday I was with Naldo the whole day at his house. He had to stay in bed though and rest but I didn't cared. I had started the day in the lab with Shelby and Barry but ended up being the thirdwheel. I got bored of it and decided to visit Naldo instead. Just because he has to stay in bed doesn't mean that he has to be bored. We ended up having a great time and I drew loads on the cast on his leg. Naldo's mom even said that she thought it was so adorable how much I cared about Naldo and that I made him really happy. But back to present time. I sat in the commons with Barry and Shelby. As Naldo was recovering from his concussion he wasn't able to go back to school yet. I really missed Naldo and since Barry and Shelby are a couple now it made me the third wheel when he was gone. I spotted Asher walking down the hallway. He saw me and started to walk towards me.

"Hi babe, where's your little knight in shining fedora huh?" He said and chuckled.

"Don't call me babe and he's home thanks to you!" I said and glared at him.

"I didn't do anything, he started by interrupting our kiss" he said.

"First of all I didn't wanted to kiss you and second of all, I wouldn't call pushing him out on the street infront of a car nothing! He could have died!" I said angrily.

"Stop being so moody. You know what, you're as annoying as mr fedora dumbhead so fine, go be with him but don't come crawling back when you realizes that you could have had all this" He said and pointed to himself.

I clenched my fists and stood up. Without thinking I punched him straight in his guts. He was not prepared for it so he let out a scream.

"That's what you get for being mean to my friend! Now don't you dare talk to me again you jerk!" I said angrily.

Asher glared at me before walking off. Everyone in the common laughed and cheered for me and I couldn't help but smile.

"That was amazing girl! You totally gave him what he deserved and the whole school saw him get punched by a girl! I'm so proud of you!" Shelby said and smiled.

"Well yeah... it was awesome wasn't it" I said and chuckled.

"Totally!" She said and chuckled along with me.

"I wish Naldo would have been here to see it though..." I said abit sad.

"Who said I didn't see it, cause I did and that was awesome!" I heard Naldo's voice say.

I got really confused and turned around to see that Naldo was on facetime on Barry's phone. A smile grew on my face and I grabbed Barry's phone from his hand.

"It felt so good to do that!" I said and smiled.

"It felt good to watch as well even though I'd rather have been there in person. But it sure made my day in bed better!" He said and smiled.

"So how are you feeling?" I asked.

"I'm okay but so bored" He said and sighed.

"Just hold on until 3 pm and then I'll come and cure your boringness!" I said and smiled.

"Okay, I can't wait" He said and smiled back.

We talked abit more with Naldo on facetime before the bell rang and it was time for class again. The rest of the day went really fast and soon the school day was over and I couldn't be happier. I was now only 20 minutes away from seeing Naldo and it made me really happy.

Sorry for a not so exciting chapter but it's one of thise necessary filler chapters. It did had some good parts though as Cyd punching Asher and a little Cyldo in the end. Hope you all liked it anyways.
