Chapter 9: To Slateport City we go!

By the way: I made a little edit in the last chapter. That way this chapter could make a little more sense. Can you guess?

Ash's POV

"Slateport City? That's all the way in the Hoenn region, right?" Nurse Joy said looking through the computer.

"Yes." I told her.

"Hm.. Let's see. Ahh, here we are." She smiled as she printed out an airplane ticket and gave it to me. "This is the next flight to the Hoenn region and it leaves tomorrow morning in Couriway Town." I thanked her as I made my way into me and Clemont's room.

I started packing all my things into my bag and prepared to leave for Couriway Town. Suddenly, the door opened to reveal Serena looking at me in confusion.

"What are you doing?" She asked me.

"I'm gonna be in the Hoenn region for a few days if that's okay with you." I told her as I continued to pack up my things. Pikachu came into the room looking at me confused as well.

"Hoenn? That's all the way across the sea! Shouldn't you be preparing for the Kalos league?"

"I have enough time. I'll be back before you know it." I said putting on my bag as Pikachu hopped onto my shoulder.

"What are you gonna do in Hoenn anyway?" She asked me. I smiled at her, "I've gotta apologize to Dawn." With that, I ran out the Pokemon center and boarded the train to Couriway Town.

Serena's POV

I placed both hands against my chest and started clenching them. Tears started forming at the corners of my eyes but I held them back.

He's going to Hoenn to see Dawn.. No.. He can't.. I.. Won't lose him!

With Ash

"Pika pika pi?" I looked down at my partner Pikachu and smiled as I pet it's head.

"I'm going to make things right with Dawn again, buddy. Promise." I said as I looked out the window of the train leaving Snowbelle City.

With Dawn

I looked out into the horizon and admired the view from the balcony of the Pokemon center. I smiled as I felt the cool night's breeze against my skin.

"Everything okay, Dawn?" I looked back to see Drew walking up to me with a worried look on his face. I smiled and nodded at him as I looked back out towards the horizon.

"You know.. Ash called for you yesterday." He started as he leaned his back against the rails.

My eyes widened but I didn't say anything. I looked down at the ground as I waited for what Drew was going to say.

"He said he wanted to apologize to you." My shoulders tensed and I could feel myself about to cry but tried my best to maintain myself.

"He also told me to tell you he won his 8th and final badge." My eyes widened and I placed my hand against my chest as I smiled.

"That's great... So he's finally going to compete in the Kalos league.." I said. I looked out into the horizon again and watched as the moon and stars shined down onto the waters of Slateport City. I then closed my eyes and smiled, I then turned to Drew who gave me a confused look.

"After the grand festival, I'm gonna cheer Ash on in the Kalos league!" I told him.

With Ash

The train had finally reached Couriway Town as Pikachu and I got off and started making our way towards the Pokemon center.

"Nurse Joy! I have a plane ticket for Slateport City! Nurse Joy from Snowbelle City gave me this! I'm not too late am I? Please tell me I'm not!" I panted.

She chuckled at me and raised her hands up trying to calm me down. "No, you're actually very early. The plane doesn't leave until another 5 hours." She told me. I sighed in relief as I went to go sit down on one of the chairs.
