Hey guys, sorry for not updating this story in awhile. You already know, I'm pretty busy with school and stuff. But anyways, I just wanna thank you guys for reading this story because it really means a lot to me. :)
As always, enjoy!
Ash's POV
It was the final battle and I was going up against Alain. I have to admit that I was pretty nervous because Alain was a strong Pokemon trainer. He had a Charizard that could mega evolve and I don't know how I could face that. I sat in the Pokemon center thinking of which Pokemon I was gonna use in the battle tomorrow against Alain.
I felt someone's hand on my shoulder then looked behind me to see Dawn. She then sat down next to me and smiled at me. "You seem a bit nervous." She told me. I chuckled, "it's that obvious, huh?" I asked her. She chuckled at me then laid her head down on my shoulder while I laid my head down on hers as our hands intertwined.
"You're gonna do great tomorrow, I know you will." said Dawn.
"You really think so?" I asked her.
"Mhm. Just always try your best and never give up til it's over."
I chuckled, "that's my line."
I looked down at her and noticed that her eyes were closed and her breathing became soft. She fell asleep and I smiled as I lifted her up into my arms and made our way to our room in the Pokemon center. Pikachu and Piplup were sleeping on my bed and I smiled at them. I then laid her down on the bed and put the blankets over her. Before I could walk away to my own bed, I felt her grab my hand and I looked down at her.
"I thought you were asleep?" I chuckled quietly so as not to wake the Pokemon.
"I.. I want to sleep next to you.." She said blushing.
My eyes widened and I was blushing as well. I looked over at the two sleeping Pokemon then back at Dawn. I still needed to think about what Pokemon I was gonna use in my final battle, maybe I'll figure it out later. I smiled at her, "alright. But, let's get changed into our pajamas okay?" She nodded her head at me and let my hand go as I went to the bathroom to get changed into my pajamas while she changed in the room. After a few minutes, I figured she was finished changing and walked out of the bathroom to see her laying in bed already. I walked over to the bed and got in under the blankets with her. We both faced each other and smiled. I then noticed Dawn's eyes close and her breathing became soft again. I smiled as I gave her a kiss on the cheek and drifted off to sleep as well.
The next morning
I woke up and noticed that Dawn wasn't in bed anymore and looked around to find her. "Morning, Ash." I turned around to see her at the doorway smiling. "What time is it?" I asked. "It's almost time for your final battle." She said. "WHAAAAAT!? I HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT WHAT POKEMON I'M GONNA USE YET!" I shouted as I ran towards the bathroom to take a quick shower. Afterwards, I rushed to put my clothes on and began running down the hallway of the Pokemon center to reach the PC.
My hair was still dripping wet and I scanned through my Pokemon thinking what I was gonna use in today's battle. I only had a few minutes left and I couldn't waste them.
"Ash, it's almost time for the final battle." said Dawn.
"Alright! Let's go!" I said as I grabbed Dawn's hand and started running out of the Pokemon center.
At the Lumiose Conference
I was nervous. I hoped that my Pokemon would be strong enough against Alain's.. I really hoped it would. If it didn't.. then...
I looked over at the audience to see Dawn cheering for me and I smiled up at her. That's right.. Whether I win or lose.. Dawn will always be there.
"Well, Ash. Ready to start our long awaited battle?" Alain smiled.
"You bet. But, I don't plan to go down easily." I said.
"Me neither."
The referee then raised both flags in the air and dropped them down. "Battle begin!"
*Skipping the battle I'm sorry*
"Charizard is unable to battle, the winner is Pikachu and that means the victory goes to Ash from Pallet Town!" The referee announced.
I.. I won. I actually won. I looked over at Pikachu and smiled down at him. "We.. We won, buddy! We won!" I said as he jumped onto me and gave me a hug. I looked over at Alain who was smiling at me, he made his way over to me and I smiled as I walked up to him as well.
"That was a great battle, Ash. Congratulations." Alain smiled.
"Thanks. You were really tough, Alain." I told him.
"Heh, let's battle again some day."
"You bet!"
Just then a crowd of girls started coming up to me. I chuckled in embarrassment as they all crowded over me and congratulating me.
Dawn's POV
"Whoa, look at all the girls crowding Ash!" Bonnie shouted. I just watched as the girls crowded him. Security had taken them away and I sighed in relief. The head coordinator of the Lumiose Conference went up to Ash and handed him his trophy and congratulated him.
"Congratulations, Ash! For winning the Lumiose Conference, we're awarding you with the chance to travel to other regions to meet up with every Pokemon champion and become a Pokemon master!"
My eyes widened once the announcer had said that. Ash was given the chance to travel to other regions and finally become what he's always wanted to be.. a Pokemon master but.. That would mean leaving me behind.
Will Ash leave Dawn behind? Or will he ditch his dream of becoming a Pokemon master? Stay tuned!
