Chapter 14: Guess who x2!

Ash's POV

It was the second day of the grand festival and not to mention the second round. Dawn was preparing her Pokemon for the battle round while me and Drew sat down beside her.

"I'm feeling kinda nervous." Dawn said while grooming Pachirisu.

"Hey, don't be Dawn. Drew and I are here to cheer you all the way!" I smiled. She looked at the two of us and smiled. "Thanks you guys." Drew nudged my elbow and I knew what he wanted me to do, I elbowed his side and he flinched a bit, luckily Dawn didn't notice. He wanted me to confess my feelings but now wasn't the right time since she would be going on soon.

"We'll be going back to our seats now, Dawn. Good luck!" I said dragging Drew out of the contest hall leaving a confused Dawn.

"When are you gonna do it, Ketchum?" Drew asked while we walked back to our seats.

"After she wins the grand festival of course." I said sitting down on my seat.

"And if she doesn't win?" He asked sitting beside me.

"Whether she wins or lose, I'll still still confess to her." I said.

"Confess to who?" Drew and I looked behind us to see May smiling down at us. "MAY!?" We both shouted. She smiled and sat in between the two of us and gave Drew a peck on the cheek. "Surprise surprise." She said.

"When did you arrive? And why aren't you preparing for your grand festival?" Drew asked me. May rolled her eyes at him and gave him a smile, "I came to cheer my best friend on as well duh." She then looked over at me, "so, you finally regret what you said, Ash?" She asked me.

My eyes widened when I realized what she meant. I looked over at the contest to stage to see Dawn battling against some guy named Lucas. "Yeah.. I really do." I told her. "Do you plan on confessing to her?" May asked. I smiled at her, "of course I do. After the grand festival is finished."

Suddenly I felt two arms wrap around me. My eyes widened and I turned around to see Serena. "Hey, Ash! I finally found you!" She cooed. "S-Serena!? Why are you here!?" I shouted. "Surprise! I wanted to see you!" She said sitting next to me causing May to fall onto Drew.

"Hey! What's your problem!?" May shouted while Drew helped her back up.

"I'm so sorry! I'm Serena; Ash's girlfriend." She smiled at them.

"Yeah, we know." Drew and May said. "Why don't you leave, Serena. Ash doesn't need you here." May said. "Of course he does!" Serena said holding onto my arm. May glared at her then back at the contest stage. We all saw that Dawn had won and was going to move on to the semi finals. May and Drew got up from their seats and began leaving towards the contest hall while I was stuck here with Serena clinging to my arm.

"We'll always be together, won't we Ash?" She smiled. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to hurt her feelings. But I didn't want to hurt Dawn anymore either. Maybe it's best that I.. leave everything as it is..

With May and Drew

Drew's POV

"That Serena... She's.. She's so obsessed with him! It's so disgusting!" May said angrily. I tried my best to calm her down by rubbing her back because she really liked that.

We walked into the contest hall to see Dawn looking up at the screen. "Hey, Dawn." I greeted. She turned around to look at me and her eyes widened when she saw May. "Congratulations, Dawn!" May smiled. Dawn ran up to her and gave her a hug. "May! How come you didn't tell me you were gonna be here?" She asked. "Wanted to surprise you, of course." May smiled.

Dawn began looking around, I assume looking for Ash. "Where's Ash?" She asked us. May and I looked at each other not knowing how to tell her Serena was here. "Guys?" I sighed as I mustered up the courage to tell her that Serena was here. Her eyes widened as she was taken aback. She stayed that way for awhile but began to fix her posture.

"No need to worry." Dawn smiled. May and I looked at her surprised. "That girl's not gonna hold me back because.. I told Ash I'm gonna win the grand festival for him and cheer him on in the Kalos league and that's exactly what I'm going to do!" She said confidently.

May and I both smiled at her and how strong she's gotten. We both gave her a hug and began walking out of the contest hall. We both gave one final look at Dawn and smiled,

"Good luck, Dawn."
