The One With The Halloween Party

Everything was just fine.

Dan and Phil had gone back to the older times which meant hanging out with each other. Dan would be at Phil's house late at night sometimes watching a movie. helping him bake or even just hearing Phil playing the violin.

Neither of them had brought up what Phil had said on that one Sunday Night.

And Dan felt that it much better that way.

Being friends was just as good.

Dan never really celebrated Halloween.

That had a lot to do with his non-existent social life so when Phil brought up about going to a Halloween party.

"A party?" Dan asked.

"Yeah you heard it right?" Phil said.

"But I don't-"

"Please Dan for me," Phil said.

"Fine" Dan said with a little sigh.

Phil grinned at him sitting back a little on the sofa as he unpaused American Horror Story. They always watched it together because they were both too scared,

And sometimes Dan would fall asleep halfway through and end up staying at Phil's house. It was a frequent occurrence and Phil didn't mind one bit.

It was always great to be woken up by Phil and served a breakfast of pancakes before Dan went off to work.

Dan stood in front of his mirror fixing his Shrek ears for the last time. He looked at himself. His outfit wasn't that bad. He really liked Shrek and felt like his costume represented his love for the cartoon ogre perfectly.

He could be a vampire or something else but that would be too mainstream.

Satisfied with his costume Dan left locking his door downstairs where Phil was waiting for him.

"Woah," Phil said as he saw Dan getting in the car.

"I know it's perfect"

"Of course," he said. "Shrek is love Shrek is life

I laughed out loud as Phil started driving.

"Your outfit is pretty awesome too"

"Why thank you, Daniel?" he said as he lifted up his Mjolnir.

The party that Phil was taking Dan to was hosted by Chris one of Phil's close friends.

"He is amazing," Phil said. "I think you guys will get along very well"

"Let's see," Dan said.

After about half an hour they reached Chris' house.

Dan could hear loud music playing as they went to the door. Phil knocked and then the door opened. It was a brunette boy dressed as Chucky with a big smile on his face. He immediately hugged Phil tightly.

"Chris," Phil said. "I missed you"

"Me too mate," he said. "Come on in"

Phil entered the house and Dan followed.

"So this is?" Chris asked looking at Dan.

"Dan," Dan said.

"Chris," Chris said with a smile. "Also your outfit is on point"

Dan laughed.

"Thanks," he said.

"Where's Peej?" Phil asked.

"Over there," Chris said pointing his finger to a curly haired boy dressed as Joker.

"Come on," Phil said grabbing Dan's hand and heading towards Peej.

"Hey Phil," Peej said hugging Phil.

"This is Dan," Phil said introducing him.

"Hey, Dan," Peej said. "It's nice to see you"

"You too" Dan smiled.

Dan, Phil, and PJ sat down on one of the couches that were very cleverly decorated with cobwebs.

They talked and were soon joined by Chris.

PJ was a filmmaker and Chris was an actor. They wee best friends for a long time and met Phil at University and the three have been friends ever since.

Phil had helped out in many of PJ's films right from their Uni days. And Phil wasn't wrong when he said Dan would like them. They really did seem amazing and kind. Dan wouldn't mind having friends like Chris and PJ.

After spending some time with Chris and PJ Phil introduced Dan to some of his other friends and acquaintances.

They were all very awesome and nice to talk to and Dan didn't feel out of place even for one moment.

Even when Phil left him alone to go play a game with others and he hung out with Zoe and Louise another of Phil's friends.

Phil ended up winning the game of Halloween trivia and he was a little too excited about it and Dan found that very adorable.

"Hey Dan?" Zoe asked. "Are you dating Phil?"

"Uh no no" he said shaking his head. "We are only friends". I wish he thought.

"Oh I am sorry" she said with an apologetic smile.

When Zoe and Louise left to get some drinks Phil came back sitting next to Dan.

"Dan are you enjoying yourself"

"Yeah this is really great" Dan said. "Thanks for bringing me"

"It's my pleasure" Phil said. "Anyway, do you want something to drink?"

Dan nodded.

Phil left his side and returned a few moments later with two cocktails.

Dan sipped the drink looking around when he felt a hand on his.

"Dan"

"Phil"

"I wanted to talk to you"

"About?"

"I will tell you but somewhere private please"

Dan just nodded as they stood up leaving the living room and going upstairs in one of the empty unlocked bedrooms.

"So?" Dan asked.

Phil looked at Dan for a long time not saying anything before he took a few steps getting very close to Dan.

Dan gulped a little but didn't react not until Phil pressed his lips right onto Dan's.

Dan froze as Phil kissed him his hand on Dan's waist. He was too shocked to kiss him back.

But when he eventually did Dan felt as if there were fireworks inisde of him. His heart was beating faster than it ever had before. This wasn't the first kiss he had with Phil but it was so different than the drunk sloppy ones they had at that night.

This was perfect.

Dan's hand moved to Phil's neck as Phil kissed him with even more passion neither of them wanting to let go.

This was it Dan thought.

He was kissing Phil Lester.

And this time neither of them was drunk.
