It's not like I really expected anything to happen
I just sorta hoped
Hoped you take this as a hint
Hoped you'd use it as an excuse
But hope is just as dangerous as it is freeing
Hope can turn into disappointment just as easily as it can happiness
So really, hope isn't all that hopeful
