He hugs me and I'm pulled into the past
The last time his arms wrapped around me we were ten
We fought over the garden hose
Drenching each other in the processHis glasses get caught in my hair
The memory of his smile as he walked me home hits me like a wallI ask when he got so tall
He laughs as he tells his friends that I was taller until junior yearI wish we'd stayed friends
And that talking to you now didn't make me shake
You're one of the greatest guys I've ever known
The world is big and scary
Good luck out there
