Just as everyone had hoped today was a snow day which meant the twins, Jake, Lissa and I would be heading to the movies. I managed to convince Lissa and Jake to walk there instead of drive. Of course Lissa whole heartedly and almost automatically agreed but Jake was reluctant until Lissa told him that he better let us walk or he would be seated next to Marcus for the movie. I was confused until Jake told me that Marcus was a non stop talker during movies and his pet peeve happened to be when people talk during movies.
We walked to the movie theatre and it took us barely five minutes. When we walked in the whole place was abandoned. There wasn't even any people manning the ticket booth or snack bar but Lissa and Jake told me it was fine and to go in, so I did.
They led me to theatre 5. Jake walked In before Lissa and I then Raised his arms gesturing to the theatre. "Welcome to-" he was cut off by the lights flickering on and off. "Hell!!" Marcus hissed as he flicked the light switch up and down. Lissa walked over and grabbed his wrist forcing him to stop the light flickering. He grinned sheepishly before coming to greet us. Not long after lily walked in with a movie for us to watch. We all agreed this would be the perfect movie to watch, ferris bueller's day off. Even though it wasn't really a snow day type of movie it was the middle of October and we weren't really in the snow day mood. We nominated Marcus to get popcorn but then realized that was and awful idea and requested Lissa to go with him.
"So why is no one here but us?" I asked my curiosity getting the better of me. "My dad owns the place so we basically have free range and sense he definitely wasn't going to get any business today he let us have the place." Lily explained.
"Marcus you idiot!" Lissa shouted from the concession. Jake lily and I gave each other a look which meant we had to go and see what went wrong.

What ever happened it wasn't good. Lily decided she was the best one to see what happened leaving me and Jake alone standing in the door way of the theatre. He smiled at me and I tried to smile back but I probably looked a bit queasy. Heck I felt a bit queasy. He and I hadn't been alone sense this morning and I couldn't help but feel awkward. He looked to be perfectly fine though. I wondered how he could do that. Be so confident. I've never been like that. Sure I haven't cared what people think but at the same time confidence is much different than not caring. But how could you not be confident looking the way Jake did.
"You know your pretty short compared to Lissa." Jake acknowledged. He wasn't lying. Lissa had long legs which put her a few inches a head of me in the height department. "Jake, I'm short compared to anyone of average hight." I responded. He chuckled and slung his arm around my shoulder causing me to tense. Jake looked at me concerned and I gave him a sheepish smile.
Lily Lissa and Marcus returned a few minutes after lily had left. During the few minutes Jake and I were alone we talked. Well he talked I made side comments and laughed at his jokes, even if they were just pity laughs like I handed out. Lissa was so mad at Marcus when they came back that she refused to sit next to him during the movie. I wasn't sure what happened but Lissa lipstick was smeared and she was covered in butter. Marcus apologized multiple times but gave up when Lissa shot him a menacing glare.
Sitting from left to right was Marcus lily Lissa me then Jake. We all watched the movie silently. The rest of the day was relatively uneventful. Lissa lily and I went to get a smoothly while the boys went back to jakes house. I had a grate time with lily and Lissa. We talked and laughed and I felt the way I had wanted to feel sense I woke up from my coma. Normal. For a few moments the ach subsided and I breathed every second I could of that feeling. Unfortunately that feeling was interrupted by a certain red head. Tiffany hitch and her band of plastic versions of girls came strutting towards our table.
"Don't look now but here comes hitch the bitc-" lily began but was interrupted but Tiffany greeting us with an icy smile. "Hey girls. Can I talk to Addi for a sec? Thanks." She grabbed my wrist to pull me up from my seat but lily who was sitting next to me grabbed my wrist pulling me back down. "No." Lissa said. I had never herd Lissas tone like that before. Tiffany gave her a strange look like she couldn't believe Lissa just told her she couldn't talk to me. she look furious.
"Excuse me are you denying me the right to talk to Addi? That's un American." She shouted. Now everyone in the smoothie shop was looking at us a.k.a. The one barista. "Well news flash, I'm Canadian." I said. It took all my courage to say that and she just leaned over and smacked her hands down on the table.
"You're an orphan freak who caused her parents deaths and you know it. Now stay away from the twins and Jake or I'll spill your dirty secret. They don't need the dead weight." She shot back. I couldn't speak. How could you come back from that, I currently couldn't. I could barely state that I was Canadian, but that didn't mean lily and Lissa couldn't for me.
"You know what Tiffany. She may try to stay away from Marcus Jake and I but we sure as hell are not going to stay away from her." Lily shouted. "We love her much more than we did you and she's only been here for a week." Lissa added. What was going on? "So you need to get over what ever pent up rage you have agents her because she had noting to do with Jake rejecting you. Boys don't like plastic." Lily finished. Everyone's mouths hung open, including the barista. Tiffany growled turned and waltzed out of the shop, her friends trailing behind her like lost puppies. We are all silent for a minute before lily asked the question I knew was coming, but was dredging.
"What do she mean by orphan." And there it was. I felt guilty, almost like I should have told her. Well now was chance. I spilled my guts and told her about the car crash, the coma and most importantly, my parents.
"And I'm really sorry I didn't tell you I just can't even think about it with out crying and-" I frowned before fishing my sentence. Lily just placed her hand on mine which was resting on the table. She smiled sympathetically. "Just don't treat me different okay? That's why I didn't want to tell anyone, pitty." I told her she agreed and promised not to tell a single soul. The only thing I could do was breath out a sigh of relief. I wasn't ready yet
