Jake took me to Walmart and bought me a new pair of dog ears and a brown tee shirt to replace my costume for the party tonight. It was as if I never got egged well, minus the huge bruise forming on my stomach. Jake still seemed pretty mad about that. I tried not to bring it up because I knew it would just make him upset and I didn't want that. After my costume was put back together we went to the theatre where lily Marcus and Lissa would most likely be, and we were right they were hanging orange and black streamers around the entrance.

"Hey bolndy's okay!" Marcus called tackling me in a hug. I laughed. "A little protein never hurt anyone." I said. Everyone wrapped their arms around me and I got very uncomfortable. Eventually I wiggled my way free and we all began hanging the streamers.

Jake was right. It wasn't a big party. Just a few guys I recognized from the football team and a few of their girlfriends and friends. I met all of them and by the end of that I was already exhausted but I still had till midnight to go. I had never been to a high school party so I guess this was my first one. I was over whelmed even with just a little over thirty people. Still, I was determined to stay and make it through the whole thing for Jake. He did keep his word and I had to keep mine.

He was standing over with a few of his teammates and Marcus. I caught a glance of him as I walked to get some smarties. He was laughing and smiling at something Marcus said. Then we made eye contact and I quickly looked away blushing. I grabbed a hand full of smarties before heading back to the group I was standing with which included both Lissa and lily plush a few other girls who I recognized form a few of my classes. I got back to the group and they seemed to be talking about the football teams latest and only win. After i taught ballet a week ago they had a game the day after and actually won. Sense then every football player had been in a much better mood than they had when they were losing. The coach was so pleased he decided to continue my teaching them. I'll teach them every Friday until the season is over. I was supposed to teach today but coach gave everyone the night off.

"Speaking of the football team one of its players haven't taken his eyes off Addi this whole night." One of the girls named Madison told me pointing behind new. I gave her a confused look and all the girls giggled. I turned my head slowly trying not to make it obvious that I was looking. But to my surprise my eyes led me to Jake who smiled and waved when he caught my eye. I gave him a small half smile and a little wave before turning back to the group.

"That's so cute he's blushing." One of the girl cooed. Unfortunately the subject of Jake and I didn't die down as easily as I hoped. "Oh come on Addi we've all seen the looks you give each other in the halls." Madison told me. Looks? What looks? I don't remember giving Jake any sort of look. After a while a new subject came into the air. My birthday. I was hoping not to make my birthday a huge deal but Lissa let it slide that it was on the fourth and then of course everyone asked my plans. I had no idea what I was going to do. Maybe skip school if I didn't have any tests so I could spend it with Lissa and Nancy.

"It's your birthday next week?" I herd a voice ask from behind me. I turned and Jake was standing with a plastic ghost cup filled with punch in his hand. "Uh yeah." I replied. "Why did you tell me? What do you want?" He asked. I thought about it. I'd never really gotten anything for my birthday form anyone other than Lissa and my parents. Lissa always sent me little thing through the mail and my parents gave me things from their trips. "I want... you to stop waking me up from the walky-talkies by playing music loudly. I do not appreciate it." I told him. He frowned.

"Your really gonna waste a birthday present on that. If you wanted me to stop you could have just asked." He said simply. "Okay can you stop?" I asked nicely. He grinned. "No. it's fun to see you try the glare at me through the window." He said. I groaned. "Try?" One of the girls asked.

"Yeah have you seen Addi try and glare? It's like a puppy trying to look intimidating." He laughed. Marcus came up behind him and slung his arm around jakes shoulder. "I can confirm, blondy definitely can not glare to save her life." Marcus agreed. I frowned. "I just came to see my girl." Marcus grinned proudly and took Lissa by the wrist dragging he in the opposite direction. "Uh bye I guess?" Lissa said as she was being dragged. I was happy for Lissa and Marcus, I thought they were a cute couple. It was definitely good to see Lissa so happy.
