PART TWO - WEDDING
The following morning, Tahiri's alarm woke us at nine, that shit was loud. I hated awakening before ten, I liked attaining as much rest as I could.
"Morning." I mumbled. "Good morning." Tahiri told me, stretching her arms. "I don't want to move," she said, frowning.
"Me neither." I concurred, staring into oblivion. "But, we have to." Tahiri climbed out of bed.
Her brother was hosting brunch at a restaurant downtown.
"I think I'll skim brunch, mamas."
"You don't want to come?"
"No, I want to visit the water venture, I've been dreading this, it has over one hundred and five slides."
"You have the whole week to do that." Tahiri stated. "Your inner child's coming out."
"It is." I exhaled.
I'm an adult who wants to ride slides.
"Ok, well, I can't force someone to attend brunch." Tahiri said. "You're here to have fun too, and find relief from whatever dark stuff is in mind."
I smiled, "this mind is free." Tahiri raised a brow, unconvinced.
"You'll still receive attention from me." I told her. "Girl." Tahiri scoffed with a smile. "I'll be fine with or without it."
"Yeah, we'll see about that."
Tahiri rolled her orbs.
I left her in our room and went down to the water venture, it was a ten minute walk from the hotel, but I made it, the choices were infinite.
I scoured for a vacant chair and found one, sitting down. I wanted to soak in the water first. The area was full of humans, tourists and locals, we were all outside.
I marked the chair with a towel and took a swim. I clocked a baddie resting on a chair near mine, the woman was fine, but mamas was finer.
I went back to the chair, dried, and looked to the woman. Her orbs were on me.
"Your stare can kill." The woman told me.
"Excuse me?" I was disoriented.
"You heard what I said."
"You're looking, too." I told her, what is she on? "And I love what I'm seeing," she said.
Hold on... is she me?
"I would, too." I teased, the woman smirked.
"I'm Hisana."
"I'm not sure I want to tell mine." I said, dubious towards her.
"Oh, come on, I won't bite." Hisana said. "You're being unfair, I told mine with ease."
I took a moment, thinking.
"Ok, I'm Logan." I succumbed. Hisana smiled. "You see, that wasn't so hard."
I sat down, curious, I liked her accent. "You're from here?" I asked. "Yes, I'm half arabic, half latin." Hisana answered.
"Oh, that's an interesting combo." I said, brows raised, I meet all sorts of locals and tourists at the restaurant.
"I've been told, it's unusual." Hisana informed. "I rebuke that, there are all sorts of mixtures in this world, that's normal." I said.
Hisana nodded, she felt understood.
Her and I communicated more, she was born here but lives in the UK. I told her we could be friends, and that I had someone I liked, she was cool with that. I received her IG, went for a swim, and rode the slides with her.

Martin, Storm, and I took a taxi to the restaurant where we'd meet Asaad, his fiancée, his friends, our cousins, aunts, and uncles. A nineteen table.
The three of us walked into the restaurant and were escorted to the table, it was sectioned off from the others.
Asaad looked like a new man. He had a full beard, waves in his hair, tattoos all over his neck and arms, and was a bit chubbier.
He sat at the end of the table with his fiancée and stood to salute us. He embraced Martin and noticed me in the back.
He was in shock, shaking in his boots.
