When dressing for the monthly ritual, it is important to consider the event.
Is this a religious rite? You'll want to consult your handbook or religious leaders. Is this a summoning ceremony to work your skills? Then it shouldn't matter what you wear, as long as it gets you in the right mindset and YOU feel good.
Personally there's always the classic "naked under the moonlight" look, which not only shows off your gorgeous body in all its glory, but cleanup is easier as you don't have to get the blood stains out of the fabric! (Cold water and hydrogen peroxide. People with menses know this pretty well.)
If you're not comfortable with that suggestion, there's always a fine gauze robe draped gracefully over your head.
Linen is a good fabric to wick away sweat from the fires of hell, but burns easily.
Wool burns easily without leaving damage to you, but is very hot. When all else fails, silk looks beautiful and feels wonderful!
However, be sure to test your fabric. Genuine silk will turn into a charred black, crumbly ash and slowly burn without flame. It will smell like burnt hair. Whereas fake silk will turn black, produce a flame, and smell like burning plastic. What about colors though?
Black is appropriate for the all dark arts.
But adding silver? Now you're into Moon Worship territory.
Black and Red? Satanic rituals.White might get you mistaken for a ghost, unless you are a ghost, in which case, you rock that color! But if you're not, it's considered heavily improper to perform black magic while dressed in white.
And if all else fails, if someone else looks good, wear what they're wearing! Just make sure you take them out first. It'd be so gauche to show up wearing the same thing. Or climb inside their skin. Possess them. You'll both look amazing and have the best time!
What about you, Collective?
What do you like to wear to the rituals?
