Well, it finally happened. A Wattcon here in North America. New York City to be exact, and I had the absolute privilege of getting to attend.

What Is Wattcon?
Wattcon is an incredible event where someone from the Wattpad community organizes a large get together for Wattpadders from around the world. @JayVictor had put together a Wattcon in London before this, and it was a great success. This year, she decided to bring Wattcon to New York City, and I am delighted she did.
Who Hosted NYCWattcon?
The NYC Wattcon was hosted by KellyAnneBlount and JayVictor. These two ladies along with DebbieGoelz worked tirelessly in organizing and setting up this entire event. It was hosted in a church in Manhattan, a rather elegant and dark location which was totally perfect for a good spooky story. Of course, they didn't let us stay in there much past dark.

Who Did I Meet?
If you talk to anyone who attended Wattcon, the main thing you will hear over and over again is how incredible it was to meet everyone. That was certainly true for me. This event had well over 100 attendees, and I got to meet many of them (so please forgive me if I forget anyone in this list, I am terribly sorry and I hope I didn't hurt your feelings).
While I was there, I met quite a few of my fellow Wattpadres (@JayVictor, @DebbieGoelz, @linna1029, @TEJJohnson). And in case you don't know who the Wattpadres are, we're a group of friends and writers who support one another and the larger Wattpad community in a variety of ways, most obviously with our weekly Twitter chats on Tuesdays at 8 PM EST (anyone is welcome! Use #Wattpadres to participate).
