It oozes,
My fear, it drips on the floor of my tainted mind.
It slithers,
My venom, Like the insidious snake it is.
It burns,
This bloodlust, it burns me from the
inside out.
It stops,
My heart, it stops its rhythm forever,
I rise,
The deathbringer, the reaper or souls,
I am,
The Snake, The Dracul, Fear Incarnate,
I am,
The Vampire, The soulless
one who hungers forever...

the cold breeze is howling
the clouds passing by
when the bloody moon
glows up in the sky.

can you hear that?
it's a screeching cry
when the gory moon
is high in the sky.

damned women, dance naked
to the Devils eye
when the fading moon
reddens in the sky.

the witches laugh and writhe
they hover and fly
when the eclipsing moon
hides up in the sky.

the cauldron is boiling
some sorcery imply
when the scarlet moon
drips blood in the sky.

the most evil creatures
will haunt us to die
when the hellish moon
stains carmine in the sky.

the most evil creatureswill haunt us to diewhen the hellish moonstains carmine in the sky

Goblin's Gold
©2011, Olan L. Smith

Goblins, spooks and pirates with hooks, greet you at your door.
Little kids with Frankenstein feet
And bolts fasten on their heads―
Plus, a tiny tag-along, dressed in a white sheet.

You hear their pitter-patters heading toward your door—
You and your mate drops your books—
Your feet hit the floor―
You grab your bowl of loot and race to the door.

He spies the distant hamlet, barely lit by gibbous moon
His hollow eyes caress the skies, he hums a deathly tune
He stops outside a hovel and grins his ghostly grin
He knows his journeys over; he can smell the fear within.

He lifts his scythe and waves it once, above his bony head
He carries out his duty, that of harvesting the dead.
The traveler turns his steed around and heads off on his way
He settles in his saddle, there are more to reap today.

Halloween Night
by:  Cristine Bottas , Nyhterides

I spin a web of silky thread
as midnight comes to call.
And watch you from the rafters
as you slowly creep and crawl.

Ghosts have waltzed before you
in gowns of gold chiffon
whispering in the air
of pasts now long gone.

The mask you wear so well
made of finest lace
sits so very lovely
upon your fetching face.

You come with deep desire
to pluck angels from their wings
and seek a sick salvation
with cemetery things.

A toothy grin is offered
to shadows on the stairs
that lead you to the darkness
and ruin you with care.

I knit and weave with skill
knowing that my prey
will hate this warm embrace
but will beg me to stay.

Of demon hearts and monster souls
you've dedicated your life
and live to come alive
every Halloween night.

The Night is Dark And Scary
by sloanranger

The night is dark and scary,
a night one must be wary.
The moon is low
and I don't know,
what I can use to parry.

Werewolves, vampires galore,
pirates and ghosts and more -
temerity encroaching,
they're slowly approaching...
now, pounding on my door!

I don't want them to get me, too -
what on earth shall I do?
I have no weapon
strange sounds beckon -
something just went, Woooo!

My senses must all be alerted
if I want this disaster diverted.
This mob I must beat,
find a way to defeat,
their fury - it must be averted.

A quick-thinking mean machine -
my mind becomes ever so keen!
I'll cheat my fate,
its not too late
for the treats - it's Hallowe'en!!
