I sat up front as Elliott drove us home, I had the window down and the wind was blowing gentley in my face. Elliott placed his hand on my shoulder"Answer me this, why did you run off?" he asked calmly
I didn't know the answer myself, so I shrugged "I'm not sure"
From the sound of him sighing, I could tell he didn't like my answer. I ignored him and continued looking out of the window, knowing that I would be in a lot of trouble when I got home, especially from Brandon. He'd be mad at me for a few reasons; 1. for fighting. 2. for running off. 3. for not telling them where I was...I could go on
"Is Brandon mad?" I broke the silence as we pulled up in our driveway
"Don't worry" he replied
"That-that doesn't answer my question" I raised an eyebrow at him and got out of the front seat
Elliott put an arm around me "Don't worry"
I watched as Elliott made his way to the front door, I hung back for a few moments, and he quickly realised I wasn't beside him. He beckoned me over, I did as he requested and followed him through the front door
"Did you find her?" I heard Brandon say, as Elliott walked inside
"Is she safe?" Corey asked
"OMG she's here" Luke exclaimed, as I showed my face "We left college early to come find you, we were going to head out in ten minutes if we hadn't heard from either of you"
"Where were you?" quizzed Corey, folding his arms
I bit my lip and looked down at my feet, shuffling and avoiding eye contact
"Aren't you gonna answer?" Corey insisted, coming up to me and pushing me back
"I was out, I had a lot of time which I spent thinking to myself" I muttered "
Luke and Corey huffed in unplanned unison, then Luke spoke up "Answer us. Speak clearly when we ask you something"
Using the back of my hand I wiped the tears that were rolling down my face "I w-went out, I stayed under a bridge for the evening, I ran away after I saw you guys at school"
Elliott gasped, causing us to all look at him "That was you? You were that girl under that bridge?"
I furrowed my brows "Yeah, why?"
The two older brothers looked at each other, as if they were somehow trying to speak by sending thoughts to each other
"We saw you, we drove past that bridge. We didn't realise it was you" Brandon replied "If we did, we would have brought you home ASAP"
"Are you guys mad at me? 'Cause if you are, just get it done with" I gulped
"Get what done with?" Elliott asked me
I rolled my eyes "Where you guys lecture me on stuff, we will all fight and argue and then make up tonight or some shit. Just get it done with. The sooner you shout at me and we argue, the sooner I can go upstairs and be out of your way"
Brandon jumped up and came towards me, he went to grab my arm and I flinched
"Please don't hurt me" I sniffled, a tear rolling down my cheek "
Instead of grabbing me and hurting me like he would usually do, he embraced me in a hug, I buried my face in his chest as he planted a kiss on my head
"I'm glad you're safe kiddo"
"You're not mad?" I must have sounded shocked, because even Brandon shook his head
"Not any more...we were told the full story by Matt and Abbie, the twins informed me on the truth, so guess what?" Brandon had a small smile on his face
I shrugged "I dunno, what?"
"We're gonna teach him a lesson"
Brandon ordered me to give him Matt's address, which I did. I had no other choice really, and he was adamant to stick to his words, that he would hurt Matt if he hurt me.
"Am I coming or?" I asked, biting my tongue
Elliott shrugged "If you want"
I decided I would go, but only to see what they would actually do. The way Matt has upset me has really affected me
We quickly arrived at Matt's house, I stayed in the car and watched from the window. My brothers walked up to his door, and when he opened it, I realised he wasn't alone...
Stood next to him was Abbie. My heart sank, but then I realised I had my brothers to protect me. They began to fight with Matt on the grassy area in front of his house. Abbie just stood there the whole time, watching her boyfriend getting beaten up. Wow, the girlfriend of the year award goes to Abbie
Fuled by anger, I jumped out of the car and ran up to my brothers, trying to get them to leave before it got too serious
"Guys, come on, let's go!" I called, as it was a 4 vs 1 fight
"Well well well, getting your brothers to fight for you is pretty stupid" she smirked "Can't fight your own battles, Wilson?"
I felt someone's hand on my shoulder, I looked and saw Elliott stood behind me
"You EVER hurt my sister, whether it's you or your so-called boyfriend, then I will take further action" he warned, before ushering me and the guys to leave
We made our way to the car and Brandon sped off, leaving Matt and Abbie to deal with his injuries
"Thanks guys" I weakly smiled
"You can always count on us sis" Elliott turned around and nodded
