AlexaBrandon told me, if Matt breaks my heart, he will go to his house and beat him up, because 'nobody hurts his sister and gets away with it'. He told me that just a few days ago, because instead I know he won't follow through, I know he will shout at me and punish me
Right now, I just want my mum, and my dad. I want us to all be younger again, to go back to how things were before dad left. Things back then seemed good, I had a family and no worries
I remember one Summer, the last one before dad left, we spent the day at the beach. We played all day, bulding sandcastles, playing in the water, followed by going on some of the rides that evening. It was an amazing day, being with one another and having fun..I wish we could go back to those days
Flashback
Us siblings were busy playing rounders on the beach. Brandon was bowling and I was the next batter. I slowly picked up the bat and kept my eyes on the ball
"C'mon Alexa! You can do it" dad cheered
Brandon showed me the ball and began to countdown "You ready in 3...2...1..."
He threw the ball, I watched as it left his hands and came closer and closer to me. I swung my bat and it connected with the ball, sending it flying far away from us. Instantly, I dropped the bat and began running round each of the four bases, hoping I wouldn't get caught out
I could see the fourth base, it was closer than I thought
"ALEXA!! YOU CAN DO THIS" Mum cheered, recording us, as she recorded most things to do with family
I punched my fist in the air as I passed the fourth base without being caught out, panting and trying to get my breath back
Corey ran up to me and gave me a hug "That was a good hit, sis"
Looking at him, I smiled "Thanks Corey!"
The final score finished on my team, involving myself, Luke and Elliott with 10, and Brandon and Corey with 8, meaning we won!!
That was probably the last time we went to the beach as a family. The last memory I have of us all spending time together and laughing
"Here's to more memories" dad cheered, as we all had a group hug
Little did we know....
I was snapped out of my thoughths as I tripped over my shoelace, which made me realise I was at the end of the lake
With nowhere else to really go, I left the park and headed further away, heading up to the hills
Corey
At home, there was silence. We were all angry with our sister and the way she had behaved at school. Imagine if that was your brother or sister, fighting and bringing shame on the family name you've all worked hard to make a good one
"Where is she anyway? She should be here!" Elliott shouted
There was no sign of her at all. Her shoes are usally by the door, but they weren't there. Her coat is usually hung up, but it wasn't there. Luke went upstairs to see if she was in her room, whilst Brandon rang her phone
We waited silently, hoping she would pick up and speak to us
Brandon shook his head "Voicemail"
"Leave one" I said, and he nodded in agreement
"Hey!! You've reached Alexa, please leave a message after the beeeep" she giggled down the phone, her voicemail playing to us
"Listen here you! I don't know who you think you are or what you think you are doing, but we are all furious with you. When you get this message I want you to ring back immediately" his voice was angry, as was his facial expressions, he hung up the phone and shoved it in his pocket
"She's not here" Luke commented, as he came downstairs "I think she's left"
"Trust me, she will return" Elliott said, nodding to us all "She will return when she's hungry or something"
Alexa
I had a voicemail from Brandon, I really didn't want to listen to it, but I did, I just wanted to hear if he was concerned about me. I guessed it would be him shouting down the phone about how bad he's gonna punish me when I get home
If I go home, that is
"Listen here you! I don't know who you think you are or what you think you are doing, but we are all furious with you. When you get this message I want you to ring back immediately"
Jeez. He sounds angry....
I gulped and ignored his message, sitting myself down on a little bench, overlooming the view of the park and the lake where I had previously been
Curling up in a ball, I began crying again. The tears flowed down my face as a result of anger, pain and sadness. I'm just so fed up with everything
I can't stay out here forever, I have little money and nowhere safe to stay. The first place coming to mind was under the bridge, around 10 minutes away - I would have shelter and a flat surface, which is a lot better than staying under a tree
It wasnt the first time I'd moved today, I became used to it. I decided I would move before it became too dark, I could settle myself down for the evening
Leaving the hilltop view, I went down the other side, opposite to where I came and made my way to the bridge, where I would remain under for the rest of the evening
Brandon
"She hasnt replied" I stared at my phone "It's been a few hours by now! Where is she?"
Luke fiddled with his fingers "Will she be okay on her own?"
I shrugged "She wanted the freedom and for us to not be over protective and that is what she's got"
If I'm honest, I'm not as worried about Alexa as I maybe should be! She'll be staying with a friend or something, silly girl needs to learn she can't fight in school
"If she isn't back by tomorrow when we leave, I'm calling the police" Elliott looked at us "That is a promise"
