Will You Be There?

One day,
Will I become fragile and weak?
Will my voice disappear and I could no longer speak?
Will my memories fade and I lose what I truly seek?
Will my skin become wrinkled and dry?
Will my bones crack and shake?
Will I lose my thoughts and lay sleepless at night?
Will I forget my loved ones and make their hearts break?
Will I wake up to the sound of children laughing?
Or by the heart monitor's beeping?
Will I become cold and vulnerable?
Watching the young ones run around,
While I sit in my wheelchair, disabled?
Will people forget and not visit me?
Will people lose hope and abandon me?
Will the world become blurry and I cannot see?
Will my ears become silent and I cannot hear?
Will people stare at me and not care?
If I reach out my arms,
Will you be there?
