Prince!Ace X Assassin!Reader

You groaned as another ice shard penetrates your shoulder, you were currently training with your sister, Luna and Ayami. "(Y/N)!" you looked up to see the white haired sister, known as Ayami ran towards you and treating your wounds. 

Luna came with a bandage and began wrapping it around your injured area. Why you were training? Well, both you and Ayami got a mission to completely kill a royal family as a revenge. You knew the family, the infamous Gol D. They had a son name Ace, your best friend and crush. Upon seeing the images of the prince, your heart skips a beat but you shook it away, you're one of the heiress to a family that was raised to be assassins ever since they knew how to walk and talk. 

You gritted your teeth, you were born from a notorious family. You weren't suppose to accept a petty revenge like that but, your father was in danger and the person who requested the offer was the only one who had the cure. You had no choice, you had to kill the man you adored for something small. 

You read news about the family, they were kind, and would risk their lives for their people. Your mother, was a great friend with Portgas D. Rouge, now known as Gol D. Rouge, the mother of Gol D. Ace. It was heartbreaking for your mother to hear that her best friend was about to be killed. 

Both you and Ayami had got to the castle belong to the king, Gol D. Roger. While Ayami distract the guards, you got the mission to personally kill the prince. As you quietly entered his room, you lifted your (F/C) cursed katana above the prince's head. You wanted to end his life, but his sleeping face was too innocent. The freckles that bloomed on his cheeks, how his wavy raven hair swayed on his face, and how he smiled in his sleep, probably thinking about his people the next day. 

You gritted your teeth, you didn't want to end another person's life for a petty revenge but you had no choice, you closed your eyes tight and swung the katana down but you felt nothing, you didn't feel fresh blood splattered on your face or hands. You opened your face and saw you had slashed a pillow, as you were about to run back, you felt hands made its way around your waist, and kicking the katana away from you. 

You turned to see jet black orbs glaring down to you, for once, you felt fear. "And what is a person like you doing here?" he said in a rather cold tone, you felt hot on your wrist but you forced yourself to not open your mouth. 

"Not much of a talker are you?" he leans even closer before snatching the mask you placed on your mouth, harshly. "(Y/N)? Is that you?.." suddenly his cold features turned soft, your eyes widen before pushing him away but he was too strong. 

"Its me, Ace! You were my friend!!" he said, half-shouting. Your eyes widen, yes, you were friends with Ace, and that was other reason why you didn't want to kill him. You lowered your heart and gave up. 

Upon telling him the actually deal, his eyes widen. "(Y/N), that kingdom doesn't have that type of cure.." your head snapped towards him. "My kingdom do..we already sent the best doctors as a present for your father.." he said, with a bitter smile. 

Your head was spinning, your best friend and crush was trying to help you and here you are, trying to kill him. Before you could do anything, Ace engulfed you in his embrace. "Its okay, it wasn't your fault, but, I really want something in return for trying to kill me" he said, rolling his eyes. As you looked at him, you felt a pair of warm yet soft lips upon yours. 

You opened your eyes, but as you were about to say anything he was already smiling, making you blushed and words to stuck in your throat, 

"Will you be my queen? (L/N) (Y/N)?"
