Miranda's pov

I show dad all the cool perks of being a famous singer. "I'll get my own bus soon when I headline my own tour! It's been a dream come true!" I exclaim. "I'm sorry I always doubted you. You've come so far and I'm so proud of you." I fight back the tears. "Oh dad, I love you!" Mike pokes his head. "Kickoff in ten. Tell Jason for me." He says, waving. "I will." I say then he heads back to the arena. "Who was that?" "Micheal Knox. My and Jason's manager. He's cool. He pulled me right out of oxford after hearing me sing. He was like I have to have her." It makes me tear up just thinking about it. I knock on Jason's door. "Showtime in ten." "Alright." I head back to my dad. "Dad get ready for the night of your life." Sierra gets up off the couch and ties her hair into a ponytail. I walk off the bus with my best friend and my daddy and a flashbulb is in my face. "How long have you had an affair with Jason Aldean?" My eyes go wide. "What the hell?!" I screech! I stare at them confused. "We... We aren't having an affair!? We're just tourmates!" I gasp. "Damn vultures. Get the hell outta here before you feel the wrong end of a smokin' gun!" I hear Jason shout. They back off. "Thank goodness!" I gasp, a hand to my chest. "I failed to mention the paparazzi." He says, tiredly rubbing his eyes. "You okay?" "Yeah I just can't stand the media following my every move and making up outrageous lies about me!" Poor Jason. "Let's get to the show." We go to the arena and I can hear people chanting Jason's name. He smiles. "You're up first, sweetheart. Knock 'em dead." I smile excitedly and grab my guitar. I'm only doing covers but I really need to get in the studio to record. I wave. "Enjoy the show, daddy." I run out onstage. "Hey guys! It's so great to be here! I think I'll kick this off with my favorite Garth Brooks hit!" I strum to the tune. "His eyes were cold and restless. His wounds had almost healed. She'd give half a Texas just to change the way he feeled. She knows his love's in Tulsa and she knows he's gonna go but it ain't no woman flesh and blood it's that damned ol rodeo! And it's boots and blood it's the dusty mud, it's the roar of a Sunday crowd, the white in his knuckle, the gold in his buckle he'll win the next go round!"

Man she's amazingly talented. "Ya know she'd probably have been to Nashville a lot sooner if she had the support from her father." I say, crossing my arms. "What's that supposed to mean?" "She told me how ya dashed her dreams." He turns around annoyed. "I was afraid she'd waste her life chasing something impossible!" "It isn't impossible! If she made it to Nashville and sang in front of the right people, she'd have every record company asking to sign her! She's amazing if you gave her the time of day to listen!" "You act like you know everything about MY daughter!!! I'm shocked she even sang for you! She always had bad stage fright!" It doesn't look like that to me. She's doing great. "Look I don't wanna hate you, it's pretty damn cool how brave you are with the whole firefighter thing. But it stinks how you didn't even try to help her! You didn't even care! Yeah, she told me how you always put her down whenever she brought the subject up! I get it. You're as stubborn as I am. I can tell but it's pretty shitty the guy she looked up to, doesn't believe in her!" His eyes go wide. "You're pushin' boundaries here." He growls. Stupid ass. I could beat him easily. "Are you even gonna defend yourself?" "I didn't think she could make it." "You're an idiot. If you ever heard her sing, you wouldn't have the balls to say that!" "What the fuck ever! Screw you! I'm going home!" He stomps off. Man, such a hothead.

Miranda's pov

I was backstage, looking for dad when Jason got offstage. "Hey Jason when you were offstage, did you see where my dad went?" He sighs and rests a hand on my shoulder. "He left, sweetheart." My eyes go wide. "He got called to work?" "No. He just left. I'm sorry hun." I sigh. I knew he'd never believe. "It just kills me, your dad... Who every girl look up to.... Doesn't even give a shit." He says sighing. My eyes go wide. I look up at him.

Jason's pov

"I didn't look up to my dad." Huh? "What? What do ya mean?" I gape confused. She smiles. "I looked up to you." My eyes go wide. "W-What?" "I looked up to you. How tough it was when you were trying to make it! I always used that as my inspiration. Cause no matter what happened, no matter what was thrown at you, you strived, you overcame. You were my role model and you still are." Wow, I'm shocked. "That just blows my mind." "It had always been my dream to tell you how much of an impact you've had on my life." Dang. I smile and hug her. "I'll always be here for you and I'll always support you." "Thanks Jason. You're the nicest guy I've ever known."
