Miranda's pov

Mo laces his fingers with mine. I rest against his chest. "I woulda been a good mom." I whisper. "You are a good mom." He says. "How do you know?" Just then there's a small knock on my door. "Who's there?" I hear the tiny voice of my baby brother CJ. My breath catches in my throat. I shakily stand up. "CJ?" I choke out. The door swings open and the five year old runs in. "That's how." Mo says, pointing. I smile and get on my knees and hug my favorite little boy. "I missed you Manda." He can't say Miranda so he calls me Manda. "I missed you too buddy!" "Why are you crying?" He gasps, looking surprised. "Happy tears baby boy." I stand up, holding the amazing kindhearted little boy in my arms. I walk downstairs, seeing Emma, Ali, and my birth mom and stepdad. My mom hugs me. "Hey sweety. I'm so sorry that happened to you." "I'm okay mom. Really I am." I say, smiling. CJ pokes me. I grab his hand. "You stop that runt!" I sit on the couch and Emma and Ali crawled up beside me. Mo walks out of my room, smiling. "Miranda sing for us!" Emma says. I laugh softly, kinda embarrassed. "What do you want ms to sing?" CJ points at Jason. Me and dad laugh. "He always wanted me to sing your songs." I say, setting him down. He grabs his guitar. "What are we singin'?" "Fly over states!" My youngest sibling shouts! I smile. "You heard the kid. Let's rock it!"

*later*

I built a fort for the kids and they fell asleep in it. "Hey mama can they stay here for the night?" "If it's
okay-" "It's fine with us." Dad interrupts. I smile.

Jason's pov

It's great to see her smile again. I hear one kid wake up. I don't know which one but she calms them back down. "Go to sleep baby girl, you need your sleep. Cause tomorrow we're going to a party!" My eyes go wide. "She wants to do an album release party?" Britt whispers just as shocked. "I... I guess so." "A party?" The little one asks. "Yep and you're gonna have a lot of fun." A few minutes later, she's asleep again and Miranda crawls back out. "So who's up for an album release party tomorrow?" She asks, smiling sheepishly. I smile and pat her head. "I gotta call Mike and tell him." She hugs me. "Thanks dad. For everything." I smile and hug her tight. "No thanks are necessary girl."

*the next day*

Miranda's pov

I wake up and see CJ curled up in bed with me. I smile. "Musta had a bad dream." I whisper, ruffling his hair. I go downstairs and Mo was holding Ali in his lap while eating breakfast. Poor Mo. He won't get to be a dad. I glance at my ring. I can't believe I'm the girl he wanted. He was my first. He will be my last. Dad looks up and sees me and waves. "Mornin' sleepy head." He says, smiling. I smile too. Mo glances back and sees me. He sets my sister in a chair and pats his leg. I sit on his lap instead. "I love being with you so much Mo." "I love being with you too." He says, kissing my forehead. "Real original, Mo." Dad mutters laughing while eating breakfast. "Ok here's something original. Miranda, you make me the happiest man alive. You've got me wrapped around your cute little finger. And I'm really glad I am cause I'll go to the ends of the earth to make you happy." My eyes go wide in shock and dad coughs in surprise. "Oh Mo!" I gasp hugging him tight. "Nice one, son." Dad says, smiling. I smile too and kiss him. "You're the best, Mo." After breakfast we go to the party. Everyone is saying their congratulations. I smile and keep an eye on my trio of rugrats. Ugh they're pulling dad's leg. Literally. "Get off him, kids!" I gasp. I peel Ali off his leg. "Sorry. Like I said I basically raised them on your music." He laughs softly. "I can see that." Mike calls my name. I turn around. "Time to sing your first single." Mike says. I smile and turn back to my amazing dad who's changed my life five ways to Sunday. "Duty calls." I say, setting the kid down.

Jason's pov

As soon as she walks away, the little girl grabs onto my leg again. I sigh. "What are you doing?" "You're mine now!" I shake my head. "You're wild, kid. Let go of my leg." I finally free my leg. There's a camera focused on her. Wow! Her first televised performance. "This is my first single off my new album, A Fallen Angel. Pick it up if ya get the chance! All the songs are close to my heart." She sings girls, the song we wrote together. She's definitely talented. I'm so lucky to have her in my life.
