Brittany's pov

We were going on tour with Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses. I walked off the bus and saw Thomas whispering to his wife Lauren. They're a cute couple. Miranda was about to leave with Cole to go on the rest of his tour. As his opener and his girlfriend. I sigh. I hate it. Me and Jason used to be so close but for some reason the last few weeks, he hasn't been lovey dovey like he used to be. Even my daughter is getting loved on! Jason walks off the bus.

Jason's pov

"We need to talk." Uh.... "About what?" She glances at Thomas. "Do you still love me?" My brain freezes hearing her ask that. "What? Britt of course I love you! What's wrong?" "You just seem so distracted and you stopped-" "I've had alot on my mind." Like what?" I glance at Miranda and Cole and nod my head to them. "Why?" "I'm... Just.... I'm worried. I can't... I can't stop thinking about what happened." "The cliff? She's fine. Why-"

Brittany's pov

"Not the damn cliff Brittany. The... The rape." "Oh Jason, she's fine! Look at her! If she was still thinking about it-" He catches me off guard with a kiss. "I'm sorry I've been so distracted Brittany. It's just been hard on me. She's my little girl and.... I couldn't protect her." My eyes widen in shock. I get it. He feels like he failed her. I grab his hands. "Jason, you listen to me. You did more for that girl than her own father. It isn't your fault what happened. You know that. She loves you more than anyone in the world. Don't beat yourself up." "It's hard not to feel guilty about it. If we didn't adopt her... It wouldn't have happened. If we had never even met-" "Stop! Don't you even say that! You and I both know she wouldn't be nearly as happy as she is now. You helped her live her dream, Jason. Now... Let her live it." He smiles, looking sad. "Britt, I don't know how I got through life without you before." He hugs me tight. "I love you, Jason." "I love you too, Brittany. More than anything. People may think I'm the star of the show but really it's you." I smile and wrap my arms around his neck. "Now you go tell your daughter goodbye." "You're the best baby."

Miranda's pov

We were about to leave. Cole climbed the bus. I'm so nervous. I've never gone on tour without dad before. It's gonna be weird. "Hey baby girl." I turn around wide eyed. "I'm-I'm not crying." I say, blushing and wiping my eyes. He smiles and hugs me. "You're gonna do great things someday." He says. "I couldn't have gotten this far without you. You're the best dad I've ever had."

Jason's pov

She and Britt sure know what to say to cheer me up. I rest my hands on her shoulders. "My life got so much better when you walked into it, sweetheart." She smiles, tears in her eyes. "Everything is gonna work out great. I can feel it." I wipe the tear from her cheek. "I don't think I can do this alone." She whimpers, grabbing my hand. "You will never be alone. You've got Cole. And me and Britt will drive anywhere if you call us. No matter what happens, you'll never be alone. Never again." "Dad," "What is it, baby?" "I love you." I hug her tight. "I love you too." She was about to walk on when her brother ran over. "You're gonna leave without a goodbye?" He asks, pretending to be hurt. She smiles. "Let's don't say goodbye. I hate the way it sounds." He laughs and ruffles her hair. "See you when I see you, kiddo." She hugs him. "Love you bro." "Tolerate ya too, sis." I roll my eyes. They both laugh. I can't believe she used my song lyrics on him like that. "See y'all in a few months!" She says, waving and climbing the steps. "Go be a star baby girl." I whisper, forcing back the tears as she drives out. "Are you... Crying?" "No! I'm not crying! My God! Don't be ridiculous!" I gasp embarrassed. He shakes his head, smiling at the bus. "I can't believe she used see you when I see you song lyrics on you." He turns red. "That's... That's uh our thing. Whenever I left for a longer time than usual we'd say that to each other." Wow! That's really cool. "Is... Is she gonna be okay?" I smile, glad I can say this. "Yep, She's gonna be just fine."
