Kate POV :

How could he actually have been this stupid? I mean, it was common sense really! The first thing you would do when you were about to head off on an hour long journey would be to fill up the tank! For god's sake. Now I was stuck here in a car with Miguel. Don't get me wrong, he was good company. Really good company. I just got the feeling that something bad might have happened.

I finished my salad and put the empty sandwich box in the picnic basket. I looked out of the window. The scenery wasn't that interesting, there was just a field on my left and a small estate on my right. My stomach grumbled loudly. I internally groan. The salad clearly wasn't that filling. I heard Miguel sigh.

"Look I'm sorry okay. I was too busy planning this whole thing to think about filling up the car. I just wanted you to feel special," He mentioned then turned to look at me with an innocent smile. I smiled back at him. My stomach grumbled again. Ugh. He looked at my stomach and then glanced back at me. "You're still hungry?" He asked. I guiltily smiled at him and he shook his head whilst chuckling. He then grabbed the picnic basket once again from the back seat. He got out a box containing chocolate covered strawberries, my eyes instantly widened at the sight.

"Strawberry?" He asked, casually whilst he held the strawberry infront of him. I laughed and nodded in response. I held out my hand, half expecting him to just give it to me. But instead, he held it to my mouth. I rolled my eyes. He smirked. I quickly took a small bite out of it. He pulled the other half away and dropped it into his mouth. A groan escaped his mouth when he swallows it. I laughed and took another one out of the box. He opened his mouth wide so I could feed him the strawberry, but instead I took a bite out of it myself. He scowled at me.

"Thanks for doing this Miguel but you really didn't have to-" He cut me off by placing a finger to my mouth.

"I wanted to okay? Is it such a crime to want to make your girlfriend feel special?" He asked. I blushed and looked down to hide my embarrasssment.

"I guess not." He smirked at my answer. How did I get so lucky? Miguel was the perfect guy for me. So much better than Christos. I remember when Christos proposed. Worst decision I ever made was to say yes. He couldn't even look me in the eye when he asked to marry me, but I didn't see that then. I was too in love to even notice it. I just saw the ring and him. But there was no point in dwelling on the past, if it weren't for Christos I wouldn't have met Miguel. Hell I wouldn't even be here, in Greece! I guess on some points I had Christos to thank. My cupcake buisness has been a success even though it's not open yet. I've had so many orders in the past week for baskets of cupcakes. I've earned so much from it! I decided to just sell cupcakes on a website until I feel secure enough to open it to the public. Many people have ordered batches of cupcakes for weddings, parties, social events etc. It has been great! Cupcakes are fun and relaxing to make sometimes. Except the odd person who orders super complicated decorations for each cupcake. The other day, someone ordered a cupcake with a football net and a goal keeper saving a goal on each cupcake. Why couldn't it just have been something simple like just a football? Seriously.

"Hey, what are you thinking?" Miguel asked. I realised I had been gazing out of the window for a while. I turned to look at him, his gaze softened.

"Just how lucky I am to be with you." I quietly murmured. It clearly wasn't too quiet because he heard. He smiled sweetly and I felt the heat rise to my cheeks once again.

"You're blushing," He said. I gasped and covered my cheeks with my hands. For God's sake. He laughed at my embarrassment. "I'm very lucky to have you too. I'm glad we could work things out between us. As soon as I packed all my stuff to leave I regretted it. I'm sorry for that by the way." I let go of my cheeks and beamed up at him. I could just about see his eyes due to how dark it was, but I pressumed they were sparkling like they usually did. His eyes were a beautiful sea green colour and his hair was a gorgous brown and quite wavy. I turned the overhead light on so I could see him better.
