I arrived at the school, I look at my watch, it's 11:02am.
I'm a Junior already in the upcoming semester. Still covering my bangs, I walk inside, finding the principal office. I saw a guy talking to a girl in a pink cocktail dress, the guy looks familiar from behind.
"Excuse me, can y-"
He turn his face, it was the rude guy! Why am I experiencing this?
"Hey, Ms. Assume" he says, with a smile from ear to ear. "Bye, Christian" the girl he was talking says, he just nod and wave his hands.
I just realized, he called me "Ms. Assume"? How dare is he!
"So why are you here? Lost or anything?" he asks, still with a smile. I inhale a large amount of air then exhale to keep my temper down. "Can you tell me where the principal's office is? I have to pass these forms" I says, taking the papers out of my bag. "Mind if I take a look?" he mutter, handing his hand. I stare at those emerald eyes, they're so mesmerizing, and so I gave him the papers.
He stroll his eyes on my papers, "Aqua Francheska Collins? Aqua, really? That's lame!" he insult, and so he burst out a laugh. I snap! I raise my right hand and slap him, "Stupid!" I called him, tears are starting to fall from the corner of my eyes. "Mom, mom taught of that name! It's really precious for you to say such things to it!"
I ran upstairs, left to right, nowhere to go. I sob as I run, I can't clearly see the way, I stop infront of the corridor window, I brush off the tears from my eyes, I miss mom, it's painful.
I took the mirror from my pocket, I forgot to give it back. I look at it, "My eyes are red" I whisper, wiping the tears off
"Are you alright?"
I squeal, I turn around, its a young woman. "Are you alright? I didn't mean to startle you" she says, "i'm fine, miss" I nod "do you know where the principal office is?" I continue
She nods, pointing the left building with her forefinger. "It's on the ground floor of that building" she says, "want me to accompany you?" she offer, leaving a beautiful smile.
"Can I see your papers?" she ask, I nod and give it to her. "Aqua Francheska?" she says, "my mom came up with it" I reply, Maybe my name is weird but I won't call it lame like that Christian guy said. "That's unique" she compliment, "mom said that if you name your child after a zodiac sign, it'll bring good luck" I explain. But I'm feeling bad luck now
"Aqua for Aquarius, right?" she asks, I nod "It's her belief"
We reached the left side building, I didn't saw Christian on the way here. "There's the office" she says, "thank you, miss, really" I say, giving her a smile "anytime" she responds and walk away.
