"Everyone knows the plan?" Shikamaru made eye contact with each Ninja and Hunter present, minus a few.
Naruto nodded vigorously, "Let's go- dattebayo!"
Gon held up his hand, "Not just yet," he looked over his shoulder, "We have to wait for Hinata, Neji, and my father to get back."
Bisky placed her hands on her hip, "They just went to make sure the path is safe, they should be back by now."
Hinata was the first one back, she was panting as she placed her hands on her knees, "Trouble-" she took a breath, "Akatsuki-" she wheezed, Naruto ran up to her, patting her on the back.
"We'll get them, Hinata," Naruto confirmed everyone else's thoughts.
Killua sighed, "Well, there goes the plan," as the group followed Hinata to where she left her cousin and Ging.
Naruto feverishly ran ahead of the group, stopping dead in his tracks ten minutes later.
Killua strolled up next to him, clicking his tongue when he saw the scene before them. Gon gave a more controlled look than Naruto had, but just barely so.
It was a look of pure contempt.
Sakura stumbled back into Sasuke.
Kakashi cleared his throat, "Hunters, in the back."
Killua nodded knowing that it was to be able to keep the inexperienced in their line of vision.
Gon jumped back immediately, having gone in between Bisky and Wing-San.
Morel took the right side, as Kakashi took the left.
Everyone stood tensely, until the signal was made.
Hinata stayed back in order to watch for specific chakra uses with the enemy ninja. Neji was injured next to Ging, but she knew she had to trust in Gon's father; even if he might not be the best one.
Hinata watched as Naruto immediately got into all fours, she had seen this happen in the chuunin exams. He jumped onto a blue man's cloud-patterned poncho, only to be shaken off.
"Byakugan!" She whispered, holding two fingers up, immediately, Hinata could see the chakra pathways clearer, and see all around her. Wing-San had stayed with her.
She squinted her eyes to focus on the blue man, she began to shiver with fear, "H-he's too strong..."
"We'll make it through, Hinata-chan," Wing tried to comfort her, but realized it would not work, "We're strong too."
She nodded quickly.
Her eyes darted from Kakashi lifting his headband up, to Sakura and sasuke helping out Naruto, to Ging taking a blow for Neji.
She gasped as a young unnatural boy appeared out of nowhere in front of her.
Hinata saw the sky in the next instant, being flung back by Wing-San, she landed roughly in a bush.
Laughter erupted from the boy that had ambushed them.
She eyed him, and she gasped, "He's... not human," she whispered to herself. But little did she know, Wing had heard her.
Her lip trembled.
Morel saw the girl land in the bush, wanting to help out, he couldn't, this one with the bones was freaking him out. He cringed, whipping his own weapon at the enemy.
Naruto lunged at his target while growling fiercely at Sakura for getting too close.
Coming face to face with the blue man, Sasuke had activated his Sharingan.
Wide-eyed, the man in the cloud poncho stepped back, "Uchiha," he snarled.
Sasuke snagged a ninja star into his enemy's shoulder, knowing that this man's next move was to use his right arm.
Sasuke landed in a crouch in front of him, as Naruto jumped onto his injured teammates' shoulders, lounging the star further down.
Sakura dragged Sasuke backward, just as the enemy swung his arm out, barely missing them.
In the next moments, team 7 did not know what was happening.
Both Ging and Kakashi abandoned their own opponents, and immediately brought the young ninja to safety.
They set them down near the edge of the forest, where they stumbled to the grass.
Sakura let out a slight whimper at the deep scratch she achieved, not before crying out at how badly injured Sasuke was.
A deep red gash could be seen right below his shoulder, stretching down near his elbow.
His breathing was ragged, but he was still conscious.
Sakura wasn't even paying attention to how badly Naruto was hurt. He lay motionless.
Through his obscene chakra, he had bruises, and broken fingers from repeatedly punching the Akatsuki member.
Ging watched as slowly Naruto's bruises disappeared, and of how his fingers realigned themselves, he cleared his throat.
Kakashi followed Ging's gaze, to the boy in orange, "... That chakra isn't his own, he has two, but if it wasn't for Naruto's incredibly strong chakra, he could have never held the Fox's massive one."
Ging nodded, he had studied about the Ninja lands a long time ago.
"He's an Uzumaki after all."
