chapter 7

Thirty ninja or so stood guard right outside the Sands, having just heard the warning sirens, they were stiff with anxiety.
Kakashi stood beside Guy-sensei, with their students looking far in the distance for the intruders.
Killua stood still, erasing his presence, focussing on the bodies rushing towards them.
There were two, both about the same height, and they were both incredibly fast, despite them running on sand.
Kakashi notified everybody to prepare themselves, when Killua felt an electric pulse beginning to run through him, he does it unconsciously now.
But it was then that one of them started to wave, then jumped up and down.
Killua narrowed his eyes, just as Hinata spoke, "Both aren't very old, one has black hair, the other blonde... do you think they're the murders?..."
Sakura swallowed, "They have strong chakras, or auras."
"Wait a second," Killua held up a hand, furrowing his eyebrows, he then saw who they were, "What the hell are they doing here?"
"What? Who? What's that one guy holding?" Naruto shielded the sun from his eyes, "Why a fishing rod? Who fishes in the desert?!"
Sasuke glared at his team member, the others stood quietly, still holding onto their weapons.
"Killllluuuuuuaaaaaa!~"
Immediately, Killua's face went from annoyed to the happiest any of the ninja have seen it, "Gon! Is that you, Kurapika!" He waved, running towards the two, only Gon would carry a fishing rod with him to a foreign land.
In a split second, he was beside them, he high-fived Gon, and patted Kurapika on the shoulder, "Why're you guys out here?" Killua smiled, no longer concerned about the rest.
"We heard from Leorio that you had met up with him before hunting down your Aniki again," Kurapika noted, they were with everyone else now, though Killua still had his back to the ninja.
"And when we didn't get any more letters! I was worried!" Gon shouted while flailing his arms, his face perked up when he finally noticed the people with weird matching headbands. Almost about everyone was confused by this point.
"Oh! Hello mina!" Gon grinned.
"Who're these people now?" Neji sounded annoyed.
"Ya! New people! Weird people..." Naruto tried to explain, until Sakura hit him over the head.
"I'm Gon! A pro Hunter," he pulled out his card, "See? And this is Kurapika!"
The blonde nodded once, "I'm also a Hunter."
"I'm assuming you're also Killua-san's friends," Kakashi said through his mask, "We're actually just leaving to go back to our own village."
Killua dead-panned, "I can leave with these two then," he pointed a thumb at his friends.
"Nice try, chibi-san," Guy-sensei crossed his arms, "Hokage-sama said he only wanted you-"
"-To deliver the damned scroll," Killua rolled his eyes, "I've been told."
"Nee, Killua!" Gon nudged his friend, "Is it true strong Hunters were killed there a few days ago?"
"They're called Shinobi here, and yes," Sakura interrupted, curious to see how these three were friends, she looked at Killua wearily.
"Do you think it was your aniki, Killua?" Kurapika said carefully, Naruto was beside him, trying to assess their heights.
"What do you mean by that exactly?" Sasuke glared, he stepped forward only to have Sakura put a hand on his chest.
"So Killua's older brother's the murderer," a bored voice said from the desert side, not among the ninja from the Sands.
"Most likely, seeing as how he is," Sasuke grit his teeth.
"Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, did you follow these two?" Kakashi inspected allowing himself to point at the young Hunters.
"We sure did," Choji slammed a handful of chips into his mouth, but Ino grabbed it from him.
"You're supposed to be dieting," Ino sighed heavily.
Shikamaru looked unamused with his eyelids half shut, "Hokage-sama said to follow them, he told us to find the ones with massive chakras," he slid his eyes over to the newbies of their lands, "And how couldn't we? Those two stuck out like sore thumbs."
"You were in the desert," Kakashi snickered, although he wasn't avoiding the main issue, "Killua," the boy faced his masked face, "Why didn't you mention you chasing your brother? It's crucial, those killed were our men."
Killua shrugged his shoulders, "I told you I was visiting relatives."
"Trust is what we all need when we're working in teams," Naruto straightened, being uncharacteristically serious.
Gon laughed nervously, "Aha, well Illumi isn't someone anyone would want to meet."
"He's more dangerous than your Hokage," Kurapika pushed a hand through his hair.
The rest were quiet, trying to grasp everything being said.
"... Just...," Sakura stepped forward, "Who really are the Zoldycks?" Her words were grim and held an air of stillness.
Gon glanced between his best friend and the pink haired girl, looking flustered, "Eto!--"
"Hunter Islands' most infamous family of assassins, didn't I make that clear?" Killua's switch nearly was turned on, electricity pulsed, then exploded from his hands, "I can show you if you're going to stop us from leaving."
Kakashi, including many other shinobi, held out a kunai.
But it was Gon who stopped Killua.
"KILLUA!" The spikey-haired boy yelled, punching him hard in the stomach with a fist.
He flew backward, digging his feet into the sand to stop him from going further, Killua's eyes were back to normal with no murderous intent.
Both were panting, but also glaring at one another.
"Gon," Killua lifted an eyebrow, "Who said you could go easy on me?"
He laughed, although it was more like a light-hearted giggle.
Kurapika just shook his head as Naruto burst out with a cry, "Kakashi-sensei! Why do you always stop Sasuke and me but didn't move a muscle to stop them!!" It was more like a whine by the end.
Shikamaru sighed, "What a drag..."
"You only hoped for it to go on longer, didn't you?" Neji interjected, he had been guarding Hinata since the beginning.
"Hey, where're those matching idiots?" Killua asked, glancing around.
"It doesn't matter about them," Kakashi folded his arms, and ordered down at the three, "You guys aren't going anywhere."
Immediately, hundreds of Naruto clones surrounded them.
The Hunters ,who didn't know that they could easily get rid of the clones, obliged in following the Hidden Leaf Ninja back to Konohagakure.
