Percy POV:

Annabeth, Percy, and the rest of the seven had only been home for two days, and they spent most of that time sleeping and recovering from our injuries when Annabeth and Percy decided to go home. Chiron thought they should wait a few more days, but they'd been gone for nine months and his Mom knew they had gone one a big quest to save the world again. Percy wasn't going to make her wait any longer to know if he was alive or not.

"Bye, Annabeth. I'll see you in a few days when we come back, and I'll call or Iris Message you tonight,"

She came over and kissed his cheek.

"See you later, Seaweed Brain. I love you."

"I love you too, Wise Girl,"

One last kiss and they crossed the magical barrier away from camp. The taxis that Annabeth called were waiting at the base of the hill. Percy got into one of them, and Annabeth got into the other. He heard the car door close, and they drove off towards New York City.

The taxi dropped Percy off outside his apartment building. It seemed to tower over him. In fact the entire city did. It always had, but he didn't like it anymore. He took the elevator up to the tenth floor and walked to the front door. 10th floor, room 221B, right side of the hall. It was all the same. Suddenly, he realized that it was 3:00 on a Tuesday. Would his mom and Paul even be home? Oh well, too late now. He raised my hand, hesitated, and knocked on the door.

The wait seemed to last an eternity, but it actually only lasted about a minute. Percy heard a key turn in the lock, and heard the knob slowly turn. The door opened, and he saw his mother standing in front of him.
