Percy POV:
I sat Annabeth down on my lap with my arms around her waist, and laid my head on her shoulder, gently swaying back and forth. She sighed, and I kissed her gently on her cheek. I released her waist and started stroking her hair.
"Mmm, my Seaweed Brain," she said quietly, leaning back against me.
"I'm glad to be your Seaweed Brain if you'll be my Wise Girl."
"Of course,"
She turned and kissed me softly. I decided to take a chance and started moving my tongue into her mouth. She gasped a little, barely enough to be heard, but let me in. We continued like that, slow and tentative, for a while until. We finally broke apart.
"I love you, Annabeth," I whispered right into her ear, "and I've loved you for a long time," I'd never said it before. I just hoped that my mom was right, that she returned my feelings.
"I love you too, Percy,"
I leaned into her lips. We were a bit less tentative this time. I could feel her tongue on mine, and I loved it. Oh, gods, I love her so much. We broke apart, and I took her off my lap. As much as I love having her there, my legs were falling asleep. She leaned her head on my chest. I kissed her forehead. We lied down on my bed, cuddling. Within a few minutes, Annabeth was asleep and I stroked her hair to try to keep her that way. She looked so peaceful, with that faint smile on her lips. Soon I was asleep too.
A/N: I know, I know, it's really short. Oh well. Next chapter will be longer.
