CHAPTER TWO: MOM

Percy POV:

"He-Percy?" She covered her mouth and started crying, tears of happiness.

"Hi Mom. I'm back."

"Oh my god, you're alive! You-" his mom stopped talking and pulled him into a hug. Percy started crying too. He finally felt like the war was over, like things might go back to normal.

After a long time, she let go of him and pulled him inside

"Oh, Percy, I missed you so much and you've grown so much." She started tearing up again. I pulled her into another hug.

"Don't worry. I'm home, and I'm alive." She furrowed her brow, when I didn't go on to say that I was okay, but I'm not okay, not after Tartarus, and I won't lie to her.

We kept hugging. He didn't want to let go  

"I missed you,"

"I missed you too, Percy,"

Finally, Percy let go.

"I need to go use the restroom," he said, "traffic was bad,"

While he was in the bathroom, Paul came home.

"Sally, why wasn't the door locked? I thought you normally locked it so no one disturbed you while you're writing?"

"I usually do, but I had a good reason to answer the door. Trust me. You'll see in a minute."

At that moment, he flushed the toilet.

"Who's in the bathroom?"

He was washing my hands, so he couldn't hear how she responded, but as I walked out of the restroom, he had a huge grin on my face.

"I'm home!"

He was taken aback by surprise, but he broke out smiling.

"Percy!" He came in for a hug. Percy wasn't expecting it, but it was nice.

When he stood back, he looked at Mom and asked, "Have you told him yet?"

"No, not yet, he only got home an hour ago,"

"Tell me what?" he asked, confused.

"Percy, I'm pregnant,"

Percy just stared for a minute. He hadn't noticed it at first, but she was looking bigger. "I'm gonna be a big brother?"

"Yes, around December!"

"That's AMAZING! Congratulations, you two." he was grinning like an idiot again

His mom looked relived that he was exited. Why shouldn't he be? He was so happy for them.

They sat down in the living room and talked for a few minutes, until his parents asked me what had happened while he was gone.

"That's not a story I can or want to tell by myself," he told them, after a minute, "Can I ask Annabeth to come over?"

"Sure. It'll be nice to see her too."

He went into my room and deposited a drachma into the Iris Messaging machine that Tyson build for him before he was kidnapped.

"Oh Iris, goddess of the rainbow, show me Annabeth,"

The water shimmered, and Annabeth's face appeared in the mist.

"Yes?"

"Hi," he said, "So, my parents asked me to tell them what happened on our quests, and I don't want to tell the story alone. Can you come over?"

"Yeah of course! I be over in a few minutes." She was already packing up the book she was reading. And the three other books on the table.

"Your family'll be fine with it?"

"My family isn't home. I left them a note and I'm at the library near your apartment."

"I'm sorry. See you in a few minutes. I love you."

"I love you too," He slashed the water, and his girlfriend's face disappeared. he walked out of my room.

"She's on her way, be here in a few minutes,"

"Sounds good," Paul said, "Your mom just went to get some food." Just then, she came out of the kitchen with cookies.

"Annabeth's on her way" he told her.

"Great,"

A few minutes passed, and then they heard Annabeth knocking on the door. I went to got open it, and there she was. He'd only seen her 10 minutes ago, and kissed her a few hours ago, but it felt like an eternity.

"Hey there, Seaweed Brain," she said, smiling.

"Hello, Wise Girl," she'd changed into clean clothes, and probably taken a shower, too. HE could smell her shampoo. They walked over to the couch and sat down, across from Sally and Paul. She smiled warmly at Annabeth.

I'm glad you alright. I don't know what Percy would do without you."

"Mom!" Percy protested, but he was laughing.

"I know. He really can be a Seaweed Brain sometimes, but he's my Seaweed Brain."

"And you're my Wise Girl," he retorted, kissing her cheek.
