Annabeth 1st person POV:
Percy picked me up and carried me to his room, where he set me down on his bed. Then he dug through his dresser drawers and grabbed his swim team shirt from last year, before he disappeared. He tossed it to me and started heading out so that I could have some privacy while I changed. He's so sweet, I thought. My boyfriend paused at the door and turned to face me.
"Do you need anything? Maybe a water bottle?" he asked.
"Yeah some water would be nice," I replied.
"Okay. I'll be back in a few minutes with that, while you change." Such a gentleman.
I heard the door close and brought his shirt up to my nose. I could smell the ocean, even though he hadn't worn it in over nine months. I quickly changed, keeping my leggings on underneath the sea blue top that came down to my mid-thighs. I heard footsteps coming back towards Percy's room. Someone knocked on the door.
"Yes?"
Sally opened the door a crack. "Do you need anything else?" she asked me.
"No, I'm fine," I said.
"Well if you do, just ask."
"I will, thank you,"
"Good night, Annabeth,"
"Night, Sally,"
Sally closed the door and only a minute later Percy came back in with a glass of water. I took a sip. I actually had been really thirsty.
"Thanks, Seaweed Brain,"
"No problem, Wise Girl,"
Percy POV: (same time but from Percy's POV)
I walked out my room. Honestly, I wanted to stay and watch her change, but I have better manners than that. Plus, my Wise Girl needs water. I went to the kitchen, to find my mom sitting at the counter with an apple, reading a book.
"Don't you have a girlfriend to attend to?" she asked, teasing me.
"Of course, that's why I'm out here," she looked at me, confused. "She's changing, and I am giving her privacy, as well as getting her a glass of water.
"Ahh," She looked at me strangely. "You really love her, don't you?" It wasn't really a question, but I answer anyways.
"Yeah," I said smiling.
"She feels the same way. I can tell just by watching you two for a few minutes." Mom finished her midnight snack and closed her book.
"Well that's a relief," I said, getting Annabeth's water, "Goodnight, Mom. I'm glad to be home."
"Goodnight, Percy. I'm glad you're home too," she started tearing up again. I came over and hugged her.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," Mom replied.
Mom headed back to my room, checking in to make sure Annabeth was fine. I stayed in the kitchen for another minute or two, looking out at the New York City skyline. It felt good to be home.
A/N: Most of my POV's will be first person now, so I'm not gonna keep specifying that they are. I'll say if they aren't.
