[i'm sorry]
The unfortunate case of the teenage suicide had alarmed and saddened many, not only the family and friends of the teen, but also many of the townspeople. Arthur Hewer, aged sixteen, had committed suicide on school grounds. His will was left in his locker in school speaking of the reasons of his actions. It had stated how school, friends and love had greatly troubled the unfortunate teen.
Many are still in shock of the news. His best friend also wasn't aware of his friend's depression and had been caught off guard until of late. "I just can't believe it."says the friend. "He was the nicest out of all of us. I mean I thought he literally had everything. The good grades, the perfect girlfriend, popularity… I just… can't believe it."
His family are also grieving of the sudden news. To them, the death of Hewer was unthinkable.
"It was just yesterday." His mother had said. "It was only yesterday when I was talking to him, asking him what he had wanted for dinner. And he had this smile. He always had this smile… And until today. Oh I didn't know. I didn't even know about my own son. I just… I just didn't know"
To prevent further causalities or future possibilities, Hewer's school had taken account of the incident and organised lessons and teachings to raise awareness about the students' personal mental health and counselling.
"I sincerely regret and grieve the passing of one of our valuable student. It truly is a loss to both our school community and his close relations. To avoid any futuretragedies, I promise that our school would put our students' situation to our best interest." The principal's promise had reassured most of the parent's concerns, but pain and scars in the hearts of many of Hewer's family and friends would last for years.
