"Everyone all paired up." The teacher asked as she glanced around the group of teenagers. Everyone replied with a dull yes, and we moved out of the building and onto the buses. I placed my headphones upon my head to block out the nose of my classmates and looked out the window to the vast sands of Egypt.

"Let's remind myself why I signed up for this." I thought to myself. "Class started just fine, three days ago. We had a fundraiser, even did car washes, but I was stuck home with a cold and had no idea why the class did it. But when I came back, everyone was handed a piece of paper a parent had to sign so we could go on a field trip to Egypt because the teacher thought it would be a nice learning experience, and the principle said yes because?... I have no idea." I sighed aloud to myself. "Unbeknownst to me, I had my legal guardian sign it, packed my bags, which only consisted of 3 shirts, 3 pants, my phone charger, my 3ds, 3ds charger, a solar powered charger for my chargers, a few books and hidden candy. All so I could wind up half way around the planet, with idiots I hate more than myself." I looked to the classmates on the bus, they all talked and laughed amongst themselves, I look out the window once more and closed my eyes to relax.

"Of all people, I am the outcast of the class. I do my work in class don't speak unless spoken to, and I am a teacher's pet involuntarily. My hobbies are video games, reading all types of books, watch anime, judge others and being hateful towards the world. Not much I know, but that is my life. Because of my silence people mock me, or leave me alone, I don't deal with bullying, luckily.  But I would like to have at least one friend to have fun with. But knowing my luck, that is to much to ask for."

~Time skip~

"Stay in your groups." The teacher spoke as we entered the excavation sight. I don't have a group, because of being a teacher's pet, I was excluded from having a group, the teacher trusted me not to get into trouble... lucky me, that means I get to wonder away from the group just cause I feel like it. I looked around at the sight, many people were digging or brushing off sand, "This is going to be a long week." I mumbled to myself in annoyance. I adjusted my bag on my shoulder, it had everything I brought with me, why leave your stuff in a hotel when you could need it?

Just an hour and nothing happened we were given lectures and asked questions, of course the teacher finally allowed us to walk around freely with a limit of course, no wondering off, stay with your group. But to my ears that means walk away and leave it all. As I walked around I took a few pictures with my phone as I turned on my heel scrolling through the shots I heard "You seem bored." My head turned around but no one was near me, or was busy with their work "You can't see me, but I am here. If you are bored why not do something?" The voice spoke again, it was female and cheerful "If I could do something I wouldn't be bored." I replied back sarcastically "I have something you could do." It replied "Lead the way voice." I chuckled not really caring. "Ok, see that semi boarded up cave entrance, go there. Yes it is not safe, but it is something." It spoke, I looked to the direction the teacher told us to avoid it but hell it's an adventure. I snuck over to it and entered, it was well lit, there were a few chunks missing from the ceiling and cracks in the wall "Now what?" I questioned allowed "There is a door in here with a puzzle, solve it and get the treasure." The voice spoke "Oh Egypt and your puzzles." I chuckled as I headed down the cave carefully.

I found the door, it was very square with a sliding puzzle in the middle. The puzzle was also square and had four blocks in each corner with Roman numerals on them and an empty space in the middle, I glanced around the room to find four pictures of animals, a fish, an ox, a human and a wounded frog, you could see it was wounded because one of its legs laid next to it. "So any hints Miss. Voice in my head, or am I on my own." I asked "All of these pictures have something in common, find it, solve it." She stated "Ok... a fish an ox, a human and frog... what do that have in common." I looked back at the puzzle "Oh! I got it!" I walked over to the puzzle and started.

I moved the puzzle around using the empty space when needed to make more room till I finally put the pieces into place, the numbers needed to match with the pictures on the wall, but in the correct order. What they had in common were feet, they put the fish there to throw you off, and the human for 2, and ox for 4 and a frog for 3. They made it easy but complicated.

Once I finished the door started to open, it stopped half way so I just assumed that something went wrong, but I could squeeze through once I tossed my bag in. Once in I scanned around, it was pretty empty other then the pedestal in the back "There's your treasure, good job." The voice spoke happily. I walked up to the pedestal to see a pure white card "A blank card? Really how is it treasure?" I questioned as I picked it up "Its shiny... but not worth much I don't think." Just as I was about to put it into my pocket and leave it glowed with a blinding light, I dropped it to cover my eyes but as I did so I got dizzy and fell on my side, passing out but not before I heard the voice one more time "Enjoy your fate." My eyes closed at those words and everything went black.
