Pay for Your Sins

Gonna be doing a few skips this chapter. Also mixing things up a bit.

This was so wrong... but I was also so fun! I watched as Mai dueled Joey. I stood atop the balcony with Alister and Valon that over looked the whole bottom level of the building. Mai had joined Dartz and took out Pegasus, she had a darker aura about here also. She currently had Joey on the ropes like in the show, Joey would try to talk to her 'knock some sense into her.'

I kept myself hidden somewhat, when Dartz offered me power I refused, I didn't want to betray my friends anymore than I already had but with some time I gave in to my emotions and offered my help, I know deep down this is wrong. But they left me for dead, it was obvious they didn't care about me, if they ever actually cared I no longer know. What matters to me now is to make them suffer.

I grew bored of hiding in the shadows and watching and walked up to Valon who was leaning on the railing. "Finally decided to get a better view?" He smirked at me as I nodded and leaned on the railing also. "Hey Mai! Kick his butt extra for me kay!" I cheered her on as she laughed "Sure thing!" She waved at me before focusing back on the duel "(Y/N)! You're working with the bad guys now!?" Tea gasped "Oh I'm fine thanks for asking, it's not like I nearly died from the heat!" I rolled my eyes "Let's be real, you left me in a freaking dessert with 90+ degrees with just a few bottles of water, this CAN'T be that much of a shock to you!" I scuffed "We tried to help you, Yami wasn't having it." Tristen argued "Didnt try hard enough." I barked back "It was literally 3 on 1, Yami wanted me out and you 3 just agreed. You let you anger towards me control you and you left me, so I let my hatred and sadness control me and now I'm going to help Dartz. This world isn't worth anything if humans toss away those they care for so easily. I'll be glad to see it get destroyed." I grip the railing tightly.

They all seemed ashamed of their choice, to late now. Yami hadn't said anything this whole time, though I could feel his gaze on me on and off through the duel.

~Time Skip~

Mai lost her soul when Joey gained one of the three sacred dragons. Valon and Alister and I took off instantly they gave cause but lost us a few moments after they made it up the stairs to the balcony.

Dartz was furious with Mais' loss but calmed down when he realized it just added to the Laviathens power. We all became expendable after that, he didn't care if we won or lost.

Rex and Weavel joined us next to stupid to realize the sacrifice they would be making. We got sight of the group getting on a train, Rex, Weavel and I were sent to challenge them. Stupidest thing ever, Rex got Joey Weacvel got Yami. We stood atop the bolting train as they dueled, Tea was clinging to the ladder, Joey and Tristen were miles away since we detached the train cars so the group could be separated.

Weavel losts obviously, and the train was about to take a dip into the river, it took a sharp turn and fell off the rails falling into the water, when I resurfaced the tide had pushed me into a bank, Weavel was laying dead next to me, good enough I looked around to see and unconscious Tea and Yami drafting by on some conviniant driftwood  I turned to grab Weavel and leave but hesitated. I growled Don frustration and diced into the water once again. I pulled the two unconscious teens to land, dragged them away from the water and left with Weavel.

The walk through the woods was ridiculous till Rafael found me he asked if I knew what happen to the Pharaoh, I said that he and Tea both died by drowning. I recovered their bodies from the water and they had no pulse. He said that was good enough and helped me carry Weavel to the nearest town, we dumped him at the hospital and left for Dartz.

A few days later Dartz found the truth that I lied about Yami and forced me to face him.

I stood in front of Yami with the seal of Oricalcois I drew. This duel was long and felt like it would never end.

"You're an idiot you know. This isn't like you, the (Y/N) I know would never betray her friends like this." A familiar voice spoke to me "They left me to die, I don't care about them anymore." I thought with venom "Hold that against them then, but stop hurting them, be the better person, forfeit this match and suffer in silence." It spoke softly "I'm scared." I slowly started lifting my hand to put it over my duel disk "It won't last forever you'll just need to be patient." I felt my regret poll in my mind as tears took my vision "I'm so sorry!!!" I cried out loud Yami was taken aback his stoic expression softened "I didn't mean to... I'm such a horrible person!" I sniffled as I finally put my hand on the duel disk "I forfeit..." I cried out as the seal started closing on me "(Y/N)..." His eyes widened "I'm so sorry... so sorry... so sorry!" I cried over and over as my soul was finally taken, the last thing I saw was Yami running to me as I started falling forward lossing feeling in my body.
