Colliding Dimensions

Wasn't suppse to turn out this way

Gonna be skipping a few 'non important' events. Small update.

"This is what he was working on." Rebecca spoke through her tears.

We had managed to make it to San Francisco, only to show up a few minutes after Rebeccas' grandfather was kidnapped... or eldernapped. We were in his RV study, looking through what he was working on recently. Rebecca came to us in tears told us what happened and lead us to their RV they had rented for their trip.

The study was basic, it had a desk and rolling chair with paper scattered around and books. The books were open to certain pages that held hieroglyphics and ancient art. Yugi took Rebecca back to the living room, while Joey and Tristen played detective around the study while Tea made some drinks. The more I looked at the study, the more I dreaded the events. I exhaled slowly before leaving the RV and heading off, Yugi gave me a worried look as I left the doorway.

When night fell Joey and Tristen had given up and went to eat. I looked around the study while everyone was out. "Rebecca is sleeping. Her grandfather... is safe right?" Yugi asked as he closed the door slowly "He is fine... we meet him soon." I flipped through a book "Chu'know Atlantis is real?" I looked at him for a moment than back to the book "Really?" He pick up a book "Yep, it and ancient Egypt were connected. Apparently, a huge war broke out, Egypt came out on top and Atlantis sunk. The two kingdoms had one thing in common..." I closed the book "What's that?" He seemed interested "They held powers... over duel monsters. Monster that swelled in the souls of humans, and were striped from them by the use of dark magic. The millennium items were used for such a thing, along with other basic uses. Like seeing the future, or possible future events." I looked over a him "Duel monsters... are actually real?" He seemed taken aback "Yep. Surprised me too, but you can't tell anyone." I put my pointer finger to my lips in a hush hush gesture he nodded.

"...and where are you going?" I crossed my arms looking sassy "To go duel this guy, he said he has Rebeccas' grandfather." Yugi held the reigns tightly, he actually looks good on a horse. "I'm coming with. Ya know mischief likes company." I shrugged mounting the horse "That isn't the saying, and I doubt I had much of a choice huh?" He rolled his eyes and took off.

I stood on the outer rim, in the middle of the canyon was a circle platform where Yami a Rafael stood, the seal had been summoned and this is the duel that Yami loses everything and my friendship will be tested. Joey, Duke and Tristen showed up in a fancy car and were cheering Yami on. I couldn't bring myself to, it wouldn't help. The final attack was set and as the seal closed around Yami I noticed he was shoved by and invisible Yugi. A light flashed, blinding us and a helicopter hoovered, Rafael picked up Yami and grabbed the extended rope as Joey shouted at him to put him down, I think he even called Rafael a monkey.

When Yami woke up, they thought he won but he confessed that he lost and Yugis' soul was taken instead, Joey was stubborn and didn't want to believe it, Tristen lead him back to the car as Duke started it up, I thought it best to ride with them.

When we got back to the RV Rebecca was hugging her grandfather and Tea was sitting at a conveniently placed picnic table. We pulled up, the minute Yami got off the horse Rebecca ran to him and hugged him tightly thinking it was Yugi. She was corrected and her and Tea started crying, ya know because they're dramatic like that. I couldn't blame them though, I'd cry to if I didn't know how this all ends. Is Joey yelling ye-yep he is.

"What were you thinking playing that card!"

"It was a risky move and you messed up!"

"Answer me!"

Joey grabbed him by the collar of his jacket and got ready to swing, on instinct is pushed Yami and received the hit myself, I hear a gasp and saw a shocked Joey, I slowly inhaled and exhaled to calm my nerves and spoke "Hitting and yelling isn't going to get us anywhere. We need to find out what's going on, and save Yugi." I rubbed my bruised cheek "I-I'm so-" "Shut it." I interrupted him "We need to get going to look for him." I waved him.

As we were packing Yami stayed to himself, I walked over to him only for him to blow up on me. "You knew this would happen, you knew and didn't say anything!" He shouted angrily "Yes, I warned you, but I knew you would try to stop it, things have to play out this way." I crossed my arms, I didn't want to fight, but my existence causing different effects that I can't be prepared for "Damn right I would have never played that card! You cost my Yugi!" He had his hands in fists "I didn't do anything, I gave you my warning and my advice on the matter." I had seem him angry, but this was pure rage "That's obvious isn't it! You just stand around, not doing anything! You're useless and don't really help anyone!" I knew he was mad, and that he didn't really mean those words, but they still hurt coming from him. At this point everyone was around watching trying to finger out how to defuse this "You don't mean that, we'll get Yugi back, just wait." I tried forcing a smile "No, you mean we will get Yugi back. You can rot here, I can't believe you knew this would happen, how angry and upset we would be, and you didn't say anything. You betrayed our trust in you." He headed into the RV "Com'on dude, I'm sure she had a really good-" Joey was shoved out if the way "Stop being immature." Tea spoke, she held a leveled head "I'm am mad she didn't say anything either, but kicking her out like this ain't going to get us anywhere." She took a few steps forward "Then stay outside with her!" Yami shouted from the RV.

They actually left me here... nice enough to toss me a few water bottles but they left me out in a vast canyon like desert. I already was down to my tank top sweat dripping down my forehead and arms, already down one water bottle and I was still miles from the nearest gas station or town, I knew... I knew they would be mad THAT HE would be mad, but not this mad. Honestly this was madness.

Hours passed and I passed out, when I woke up I was covered with cold wash rags and ice "The shelas awake." A voice spoke "Good, make sure she is well rested." Another voice, oddly familiar spoke as I groaned while my body started gaining feeling once more.
