"How did these get in here?" I thought as I rummaged through my bag for my note book it was a deck of cards , not just any deck, a duel monster deck from my own world... if anyone sees these they will see cards from the newer generations... I have a number card and a few synchron monsters in here. I know I didn't have these before, they were still in my original house back in my own world.
I pulled out my notebook as class started, I have to hide those later I glanced around the room, everyone was paying attention, though Yugi had a look about him that seemed like he was having a battle with himself mentally.
~With baby panda~
The tri colored haired teen sat in his desk trying to pay attention to the lecture, but his spirit companion wasn't letting him, most times Yami would stay inside the puzzle, wait for school to end before talking to him, but this new student had him on edge... not in a bad way, more of a confused, intrigued way.
"Yami stop bothering me, I need to pay attention." Yugi spoke through his mind "Just copy the notes from someone else later." Yami spoke sternly "This new student, something about her is familiar to me." He spoke aloud, not that anyone could hear him "Fine... let it all out." Yugi sighed "When she entered the room, I felt a familiar sense about her, I swear I have heard and seen her before." Yami spoke as he looked at the girl a few desks away from Yugi and off to the side near the window "Maybe she had a passed life in ancient Egypt and you knew her, or maybe and ancient ancestor."Yugi scribbled on the side of his not book pretending he was taking down notes "I am not sure. We should get to know her. Maybe in time we can tell her about the puzzle." The older teen spoke "Right... how about no." Yugi laughed in his head "Why not?" Yami seemed confused "She has been around the world, I am sure she already knows about it. She seems nice, but she may be planning to steal it." Yugi spoke his mind "Keep and eye on it then, I want to get to know her." The old king stated before fading out and going back into the puzzle leaving Yugi half a lecture behind.
Your P.O.V
Once school was over I packed my things and stood up "Hey (Y/N), do you want to come hang out with us for a bit?" Tristan asked as he and Joey walked up to me "Sure. My Nana is out visiting an old friend, she said she will be back later, I have time." I spoke as I slung my bag over my shoulder "Great, we normally hang at Yugi's Grandpa's Gameshop." Joey smiled.
I followed the group as they talked and laughed, I hung in the back, I sorta felt like a third wheel but I chopped it up to being the new girl in the group, my thought went back to my deck... how did it show up here? How did it even manage to get in my bag? I know I didn't pack it before the field trip to Egypt, I shouldn't have it. Not only that but when I skimmed through it the Dragon card from before was in it, I only glanced at it but I know for a fact I had it on my bed side dresser this morning before I left for school. "Earth to (Y/N) ya there?" A hand waved in front of me I flinched back in shock "What?" I asked "You were spacing out." Yugi stated as Joey pulled his hand back "Oh, sorry. I do that sometimes." I spoke sheepishly "What were you saying?" I laughed nervously "I asked if you duel?" Yugi smiled at me "Oh... um" My brain worked on excuses "Yes but I haven't in a few years, ya see traveling around the world doesn't help, duel monsters isn't as popular in other parts of the world as it is here." I spoke up without thinking "Really?" Tea asked "Yeah... though I was a champion in America before we moved." I mentioned, I mean it wasn't a lie, I dueled back in my world and was a champion in my town "That's cool!" Joey cheered "Yugi is the King of Games here in Domino City." He spoke "Joey don't tell her that!" Yugi whined in embarrassment "Hey guys we are here." Tristan spoke as he open the door to the shop letting us in before he closed it.
We made our way up the stairs, Yugi opened the door this time "Granpa I'm home!" He spoke loudly "Ah, I am in the kitchen come say hi to my guest." An elderly man spoke from the kitchen "Ok hold on." Yugi spoke as he took off his shoes as the other followed, I took mine off, as everyone walked passed they put their bags on the couch I did the same.
We walked into the kitchen to find a short elderly man with gray hair under a bandanna he sat at the table with a cup of tea, across from him sat my Nana "Yugi this is an old friend of mine Nina Tepes. Say hello." He spoke with a gentle voice "Hello Miss." Yugi smiled "These are my friends Joey, Tristan, Tea." He pointed to them "Nana what are you doing here?" I questioned walking up to her and hugging her "Visiting my friend while you were at school." She laughed embracing me back "So this is your grandchild?" The man spoke "My name is Solomon, but everyone just calls me grandpa." He laughed as he held his hand out. I took it gently "My name is (Y/N), nice to meet you." I said sweetly "Such manners." He praised "I raised her well." Nana laughed alongside Solomon "We are going to my room, if you need anything just call." Yugi spoke as we headed out of the kitchen.

I stood in the park, people chatting amongst themselves and walking by "(Y/N)!" Yugi called I turned my head to see him running up to me "Hey. Just on time." I waved at him "Good, I was worried we would be late." He stated nervously "Even if you were I wouldn't have minded waiting." I spoke up "Don't say that!" He shouted and blushed at the volume causing me to laugh "Calm down. It's fine. Shall we get started?" I asked "Oh yeah, hold on he has been stubborn today." He spoke before a blinding light shined from the puzzle.
"Yeah know... looking out a window won't really help you." I spoke to the teen in front of me. We sat inside a cafe, I was drinking a milkshake while Yami looked out a window. "Sorry, I have a lot on my mind." He spoke bluntly.
~Flashback~
"Hey (Y/N) can I ask you a favor?" Yugi spoke from his spot next to me as I put my shoes on "Sure." I said "I have this friend that needs help." He started "Yami?" I thought "He has this problem with his memory and he sort of doesn't know what to do." He looked at me "You want me to talk to him?" I asked as I closed my locker door and we headed to the exit "Yeah that would be great. Everything I say seems to go in one ear and out the other." He chuckled "Sure, how about the park on Sunday at 8?" I asked "Sounds great." He smiled at me.
~End Le flashback~
"Yugi told me." I sighed "What do you know?" I asked bluntly he seems taken aback by the question "Something wrong?" I took a sip of my milkshake "No... I just thought... well Tea has done this before, she sadly wasn't much help. It was more of a window shopping thing." He sighed "Yugi asked me to help and that is what I am going to do." I stated proudly "I have no memory of my old life, I know my origin lie in Egypt and I was king, but that is all." He looked at the table."Well there you go." I spoke causing him to look at me confused "What?" He raised a brow "You know where you came from, that's where you start." I stood up and walked behind him to a shelve of magazines "Here." I placed one in front of him and flipped a few pages "A new Egyption exipit is opening up tonight, maybe check it out, you may find something." I pointed to the page as he looked it over. "This may help." He mumbled "It opens at 5, that is 6 hours from now. Let's walk around town till then." I grabbed my bag, took his hand and led him out of the cafe.
2 hours into walking around we played 21 questions, I spy and just got to know each other then THE questioned popped up "What do you think of this whole thing?" When he asked it, he was referring to himself being trapped in the puzzle and such I shrugged "I don't know, it is interesting. Why?" I looked at him "When the others found out, they were in denial for a while. You seem more calm about it." He stated "I..." I started but debated "What is it?" He seemed somewhat worried "I guess it is only far." I took a breath "You shared your secret, I should share mine." I spoke, these seemed to catch his attention "You have a secret?" He seemed surprised "Everyone has at least one." I chucked nervously as he walked alongside the ocean on a deck "How do I start." I though aloud, he waited patiently as I thought.
"Please hold all questions till after the story." I started "I am from another dimension. One where you and the others are a book and tv show, and duel monsters is just a regular card game. I grew up watching the show and playing against my friends." I finished I looked at him, he seemed relaxed trying to take in that information "If that is the case... then you lied about your life here." He spoke "No, I showed up in this world a few years ago, Nana took me in and I did travel the world with here, I keep being from another dimension a secret. I did not lie." I corrected him "Do you know... about my past?" He looked at me with hope "Yes, but I can't tell you anything in fear of changing the events. But if it helps, I know you get your memories back." I frowned "You can't tell me?" He asked, there was slight anger but also understanding "I am sorry, I can't." I looked down at the ground "Thank you for sharing this with me." He said "I will keep it a secret till you are comfortable telling the others." He placed a hand on my shoulder.
