I awake an hour early before I have to meet Yugi. Nana made eggs and toast for me before leaving to shop. I watch some tv while getting ready, my outfit was simple. It was going to be a bit breezy so I put a tank top and a light gray turtleneck on, a ruffled skirt and plain sneakers. I grabbed my phone and keys and left to meet Yugi.

With Yugi~

"What!?" Yami shouted at the young teen "You heard me, I'm leaving you here." Yugi finished tying his shoe and stood "Why!?" Yami blocked the door, not that it would work, Yugi could walk right through him "I am leaving you here, she doesn't want to see you or the others after what happened." Yugi grabbed his keys looking at the taller teen with a blank face "She won't see me." Yami crossed his arms "Yeah but you could see her, and she will see the puzzle." Yugi walked through the ghost and left the room.

The old king sat on the bed, he had recently had another memory surface, this one was haunting. It was the day he lost his wife, she had come to him to check on him, he was bathing when she found him they talked, he needed an heir to his throne and they weren't successful, she was willing to give him up, to let him remarry to have a child. He seduced her to bathe with him to show her he didn't want to leave her, then when it was over he went back to work. He had a meeting with his magician and priest but their faces were blurred out, suddenly a girl rushed in and told him it was an emergency, that it was his queen, he instinctively followed the girl and was lead to a room only to see her laying on the floor lifeless. He rushed over to her and held her, in hysterics telling her to come back, to not leave him. Those following days were horrible, mourning over his love and was being bombarded with requests to remarry for an heir. He had visited her tomb every day to vent and cry, waking up in a bed by himself once more was so tough.

He recalled the memory as if it were yesterday, though it was in the late hours of night when he saw it. He lost her once, and he pushed her away this time. She loved him, he loved her... but what husband nearly kills his wife! He sighed heavily somehow he needed to make it up to her. He'd wait for Yugi to come back and ask for help.

With you~

Yugi showed up just as I walked into the park, we greeted and made our way through the city talking.

"So where's the puzzle?" I nudged him with my shoulder "Left it in my room." He shrugged "oh?" I raised my brow at him "I figured you wouldn't want to see him at the moment." He gave me a gentle smile "You are right. Yugi," I paused thinking over my words "I am really sorry for the prank. I didn't think about you or Serenity when I planned it." I admitted shamefully "It's fine. It was your way of venting out after what they did to you.... but please for my hearts sake never do it again." He chuckled nervously.

Looking at him caused tears to fall, the weight of nearly dying, betraying my friends, being betrayed by my friends, hurting the two innocent bystanders of the prank: it all came crashing down on me as I sobbed and nodded to his demand "I won't." I choked out as he hugged me softly "I'm... I am s-so sorry." I hugged him tightly crying into his tall gravity defying hair as he rubbed my back reassuringly "It's ok." He mumbled trying to keep his head above my chest.

A few moments of calm sobs and we finally pulled away as I wiped my eyes with my sleeves. We got ice cream and talked and caught up, even walked along the beach for a few before high tide came up and we ran back to the docks, we cracked jokes and reconnected. Before it got to dark we headed back to the game shop only to be pushed out of the way by the door, a person in a hoodie rushed out clutching the puzzle Granpa came running out in a huff yelling after him, Yugi and I realized the puzzle was taken and rushed after the figure.

We chased him for a good hour as he jumped the fence of the school and ran inside, I helped Yugi up before jumping myself we, both rushed in and heard footsteps upstairs running up to find him heading the third floor "Break off and take the other stairs, we'll close both exits off!" I shouted running after him as Yugi ran to the other stairs at the end of the hall.

On the third floor he was trapped, Yugi stood in front of one stairwell I the other "Give that back." I spoke sternly as the hooded figure looked around frantically before turning towards the window "Please just give me that back." Yugi took a step forward just as the figure threw the puzzle out of the window, why the hell was it even open!?

"No!" Yugi and I ran to the window forgetting the figure all together, I took it a step further and like the cliche character stuck in an anime I am, I jumped. I followed the puzzle out of the window reaching out for it "(Y/N)" Yugis' worried voice broke the startling silence, my finger brushed the chain and I bent them, clutching the chain and pulling it close to my chest "I got you." I mumbled into the puzzle oddly calm as I plummeted into the pool below me, gods I hope that's the deep end!

The water was cold as always I held onto the puzzle trying to regain focus and swim to the top once out I inhaled sharply, coughing out water and swam to the end. I sat at the edge of the pool soaked and freezing holding the puzzle to my chest as I heard rushed footsteps "Can almost hear you calling me a moron." I mumbled lowly to the gold item.

Yugi rushed to my side "Are you ok!? Are you hurt!? Should I call the ambulance!?" He was frantic hesitant to touch me "F-f-freezing." I looked at him with a fools grin "C-can I cr-crash at your p-place?" I shivered as a cold breeze blew by "Of course come on." He helped me up taking the puzzle as we headed back to the game shop.

He ruffled the towel on my head as I pulled the blankets closer "Here you are." Grandpa put the tea cup down on the coffee table "Anything else?" He held a soft gaze "No, thank you." I mumbled as Yugi finally finished drying my hair, I had taken a quick warm bath as he got me dry clothes, once I dried off and changed and was still freezing so he got me blankets and offered to dry my hair and Grandpa got me a hot drink before he went to bed. Yugi sat down and held the puzzle, looking at it with mixed eyes "Something wrong?" I took a sip of my drink "He wants to talk to you." He admitted I sighed and nodded "Alright." He looked at me before putting the item on and a flash of light appeared as I put my cup down.
