Out in the Open

Yeah I know I updated yesterday, but I really couldn't wait for this part so I HAVE to update again.

"That makes so much sense." I rolled my eyes as Kaiba and Yami confessed to what they went through with their duels. "You can put me down now rich prick." I snorted to the brunette still holding me to his chest "I saved your life, you should be thanking me." He dropped me to the floor before strutting off "I saved you and your brother from a stone tomb! If anyone deserves thanks it's me!" I shouted rubbing my back and whining.

Yami had fueled Noah, who at the end had an epiphany, Kaiba dueled his adopted father who went into a rage and turned into that goop monster and wanted Seto... very dead. Noah had manifested and 'possessed' his father and caused the tower to blow up. The explosion had caused the blimp to speed up and hit some turbulence but everything evened out for the most part, except that Mai, Tea and Serenity passed out and were not breathing, causing everyone to go into a panic. Joey had picked up his sister and rushed her to the medical part of the blimp while Duke picked Mai up and Tristen; Tea following the blonde "Was that suppose to happen!?" Yami turned to me as I stood up "I am not sure, everything is sorta off track... but I have a feeling. Let's go to the top of the blimp." I took off in a dash followed by the former king.

My hunch was right, Dark evil Marik stood on the top deck of the blimp over looking the view of the sea "Ah so you got my message." He smirked over his shoulder "What did you do to our friends!" Yami shouted "Oh don't worry, if you win they will come back... but sorry to inform you, that won't happen." He turned as his magnificent cape flew in the breeze "But to let you know, I sent their pathetic souls to the shadow realm." He shrugged and rubbed the millennium rod lazily.

In a flash everything was covered with purple and I felt a pressure on both of my wrists and ankles, I looked down to see Yami staring at me with pure nervousness and worry before his gaze moved to the right of me following his gaze I saw Yugi chained to the air, I guys I look the same "This is a shadow duel Pharaoh, everything you are dealt damage, your friends physically lose a part of their body, same goes for my host." Evil Marik gestured behind him where the real Marik was chained up like us.

The duel was painful, Yugi was missing both his knees and a chunk of his right arm, me on the other hand, I was missing my hips, left arm and half my face, it hurt like a bitch when parts vanished, if this was reality I would have passed out at the first piece I lost, the pain after wards was in unbearable also, it was like a stinging through your body that never numbed down. I shouldn't be complaining, Marik was worse off; as bad as it sounds, thankfully because it means Yami is winning. Marik was a head and right arm, Marik dealt more damage and Yugi lost his shoulder, he bit his inner cheek to stop his scream but I could hear him whimper, I lost from my hand to elbow and the stinging pulsed through my body, I didn't have to to stop the scream racking through my throat and passed my lips, I hung my head down and closed my eyes tightly.

A few more attacks and I was gone, literally. Everything was a black void that I floated in, I heard nothing and saw nothing, I didn't feel scared either, it was just a void of nothingness.

"(Y/N)!"

I opened my eyes with a cough, rolling over into my side as light blinded my vision "Welcome back to the world of the living!" Someone shouted "Seriously!" Another yelled as a slap sounded through my ears. Once my eyes adjusted I could see I was on the floor atop the blimp with all my friends looking at me "What happened?" I groaned snuggling up into something oddly warm "Marik attack me and... it was strong enough to cause what was left of you to disappear..." A voice spoke above me with regret, I looked up to see Yami, he had his head hung and didn't meet my gaze, I was snuggled up against him as he held me "When the duel ended I found you laying here, everyone came rushing up, everyone is back and safe but..." He trailed off, I could tell be was sorry about not protecting me, even when he doesn't know we were married he wants me safe, such a nice husbendo.
