Zeke's POV

"Lars, I'll be absent for a week, I'll just finished my report there today." I told Lars through the phone

I ended the call and sat next to Renzo who is seated next to mom.

My brother and I have been seeing each other eversince kaya hindi naman gaanong ka awkward and my mom loves kids kaya comfortable naman si Renzo dito.

"Oh hijo, do you wanna eat bacon? Hmm?" My mom asked Renzo.

My mom is a very nice person. In fact hindi siya marunong magtanim ng galit and that's the main reason kung bakit naawa ako sa kanya. She loves dad that much na kaya niyang tanggapun ulit ito pati ang anak niya sa ibang babae.

"G-good morning po" we looked at the direction where the voice came from.

It was Carson. Still on her clothes yesterday.

My mom smiled at her and looked at me.

"Zeke, is she the girl that you've been telling me about? Carson. Am I right?" My mom teased me whispering.

I creased my forehead.

"Mom. Stop it" I said in a warning tone. Still whispering.

"Ahh, hija. Come here. Come. Come. Join us for breakfast" mom even waved her hand signaling Carson to come close to her

Carson looked at me and my mom.

She smiled awkwardly at my mom and sat beside me.

"So you're name's Carson, right?" Mom asked while scooping on her dessert.

Carson paused on scooping rice

"A-ah.. Opo, kilala niyo po ako?" She asked.

"Yea, Zeke has been telling me--" nanlaki ang mata ko and faked a cough to tell mom to stop talking

"Mom. Uh, I think it's almost 8am. Malelate ka na" I told mom

Mom laughed.

"Fine. Pinapalayas na ako ng magaling kong anak." Mom turned to Carson "bye Hija. See you later."

She patted Renzo's head "Bye bye, Renzo."

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag nang umalis na si mama.

"Ah Zeke. Nasan na pala yung mga stuff ko?" She said not looking directly at my face but I can see here eyes. She's been crying all night.

"Nasa kwarto." I simply answered

Tumango na lang siya at kumain.

I waited for her na makapagready para sabay na kaming pumasok.

Penelope didn't sleep here last night. She slept with her boyfriend. nag away nga kami dahil ayaw ko rin sa boyfriend niya.

The whole ride was quiet. She doesn't mutter a word.

Nang marating namin ang opisina. I closed the door and locked it.

Napatingin naman si Carson saakin.

"Tell me what's wrong" I held her shoulders

"Zeke" she said in a warning tone.

"Uuwi tayo ngayon. Pag uusapan natin yan. I can't work seeing you like that. Geez!" I crossed my arms and stared at her.
