Eeeeeeeerrrrrrk, the door said as Ashlyn walked inside. She kept her head down most of the time, probably because if she looked up she'd see me giving her a death glare. I'm here and not with my family at home because of her. She helped kidnap me!

Ashlyn looked up at last, and when she met my eye she started bawling.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!" She screamed as she ran towards me. Ashlyn threw her arms around me and sobbed. I patted her uncomfortably on the back. Does she really think I'm going to forgive her?

" They said they'd tie me up, and I'd have to watch them murder my family if I didn't obey! They blackmailed me Sasha! You have to believe me," She cried.

My face softened. Maybe she's telling the truth. She's been my friend all these years, why else would she betray me. I still have one question though.

"Who's they? It's not just Owen?" I asked.

Her face paled. " I've said too much. They're listening." She said frantically. " I have to go." She said getting up.

"Ashlyn wait! Who's they?" I screamed.

"I have to go!" She yelled back. And with that, she was gone.
••••••••

As soon as she closed that door I had the sinking feeling that I would never see my best friend again.

••••••••
Turns out, I was right. Around 30 minutes after they brought me lunch, Owen came in and told me to get dressed in all black.
I walked to the tiny walk in closet they had given me and sighed. I reluctantly got dressed and knocked on the door to let him know I was ready to go to her funeral. When I stepped out the door, I looked both ways. Since he had his back turned to me I thought, this is my chance.

I reached a shaky hand to my back pocket, where I had put the sharp pair of scissors that was meant to be used for a barber. I pulled them out, and rubbed a finger on the shiny blade.

As soon as Owen turned around, I whipped around and held the sharp side to his throat.

Then I started to cry. I'd never killed anyone before. I didn't want to.

"Tell me where the exit is," I whispered.

"What?" He mustered.

"Tell me How to get out of here!" I yelled.

"Take 2 lefts and go through the oak door." He said nodding his head.

"Thank you." I whispered, and with that I bolted down the hall to my freedom.
