Confrontation is something everyone does at some point in their life. My attempt at it ended in disaster.

Once my mom and I talked, I decided it was time to go home. I walked out of the house and started walking the 2 miles it took to get to Owen and I's loft. I stood in front of the door with my hand raised and I was about to knock, but I couldn't. I turned to walk away, but to my disappointment, there he was. Walking towards me with a key in one hand and groceries in the other. He hadn't seen me yet, so I tried to walk past him without him noticing it was me.

He nodded his head towards me and said,"Morning." Just like he does to our neighbors. When I didn't reply, he turned to face me and dropped the bags in disbelief. "Sasha?"

I sighed in defeat and turned to meet his gazed. "Hi Owen."

He threw the keys aside and ran to give me a hug. He pulled me close and kissed my forehead. "Where'd you go? I've been worried sick."

"I needed some air." I replied. I tried walking past him, but he grabbed my arm and turned me back to face him.

"Sasha, we need to talk about what happened."

"Yeah, we do Owen." I interrupted. "But I don't think I'm ready for that."

"Look Sasha. I know you think I'm rushing things, but we've been together for almost 5 years. Sasha that's a long time and I'm getting a little bit tired of waiting for you."

"Owen, I-"

"No Sasha, let me finish. Look, I love you. I really do, but if you don't see a future with me... Sasha." He reached to stroke the lone tear grazing my face. "I think we need to take a break."

He strayed to walk away and I ran after him. "Owen, please wait for me."

"Look Sasha, you can keep the loft and the car, but not me." He kept walking and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a speeding car come towards us.

"Owen move out of the way!" I yelled in fear for his life.

"That's exactly what I'm doing. Moving out of your life." He said oblivious to what was going on.

The car was getting even closer and I couldn't stop it. All I could do was stand by and watch the love of my life get run over my a red 370Z.
