All I remember from my infancy is that we lived in a two-story house on Appleberry Avenue in Chandler, Arizona. My room was painted a very pastel lavender, and all of my furniture was pastel green. My room was very unique though, because I used to share it with my brother. So technically everyone called it Jenna and Jaiden's room, but I just called it my room behind his back. We shared a bunk bed and had a huge walk-in closets for all of our stuff.

Jaiden and I got along so well, of course we would fight sometimes, but that's just what siblings do. We both had brilliant hazel eyes, voluminous brown hair and tan skin. We were twins in case you didn't catch on to that.

Everything was perfect in life, until one day, June 29th, to be exact, it wasn't. Our perfect fantasy like world crumbled into pieces that night. My dad had just gotten home from work, and he was clearly irritated. This sometimes happened, so we knew to not bother him. Even my mom caught onto his grouchy tone. At the time Jaiden and I were both 7 years old and in 1st grade.

We were working on homework while mom cooked dinner and our dad read the newspaper and sipped on coffee....

FLASHBACK

"What do you guys want to eat?" My mom asked us as she spun around the kitchen making desert.

Jaiden and I giggled as we both shouted,"Ice cream!"

My mom laughed and shook her head. "That's not food sillies."

Jaiden and I looked at each other and I nodded my head. "Pizza." He said for the both of us.

My mom nodded her head as she continued laughing. "Okay you two. Nolan? What would you like to eat dear?"

"Whatever the twins said." My dad sighed grumpily.

"Are you sure?" My mom asked uncertainly.

"I said I'm sure! Now shut up."

"Daddy, don't talk to mommy like that." Said Jaiden. He always is a gentleman.

"I can talk however I want." He argued.

I leaned over to Jaiden and whispered,"What's wrong with papa?"

"I don't know." He whispered back.

Just as Jaiden finished saying that, my dad got up and staggered towards us. "You don't talk to me like that, Jaiden."

"And you don't talk to mom like that." Said Jaiden bravely. My dad growled and reached for a knife that my mom had used to cut the cake.

When my mom walked back into the room, she saw my dad with the knife above Jaiden.

"And now, you'll never talk like that to me ever again!" Yelled my dad as he swung the knife towards my brother.

My mom yelled and ran in front of Jaiden, taking a knife to the neck.

"Mommy!" I yelled as I started to cry. Jaiden had a furious look on his face as he turned to face our dad.

"You killed her!" He yelled.

"I meant to kill you , you spoiled brat!" Dad yelled as he strangled my brother. He hovered Jaiden above the ground with a grip on his neck. "Now you'll die." He snapped Jaiden's neck as I started to bawl again. While my dad was distracted, I shakily reached for a large metal pan.

As soon as my dad dropped Jaiden's lifeless body to the ground, I swung it at his head as I grabbed the phone and dialed the only number I knew by heart.
