After what happened to Katy, Sasha and I learned to live a little bit more and to value the time we had together. We stayed friends for the rest of middle and high school and became room mates when we both attended the same college.
We had a couple fights over closet space and chores but we had the time of our lives. Sasha wanted to be an English teacher at a middle school I wanted to be a principal. We were an unstoppable duo.
FLASHBACK
"I'm so stressed out with all of this work Mr.Dawson is having me do." I complained.
"Have you even slept at all since yesterday?" She asked as she came in with two mugs and a coffee pot.
"No." I admitted as I rubbed my tired eyes.
"Have some." She said as she poured the coffee in a mug and handed it to me.
I sipped the hot drink and smiled. "Thanks Sasha."
"Your welcome." She said as she sat of her bed and looked over my shoulder to see. "X*234-12+2666=182622, so X equals 73." She said as she sipped her coffee.
I looked at her with my eyebrows raised in shock and then said," I'm so lucky you want to be a math teacher."
"Yep." She said as she nodded and proceeded to reach for the remote.
"Hey! Turn that off, I'm doing homework." I said as she flipped channels.
"Fine." Sasha tossed the remote aside and then reached for her laptop and earbuds. "What's the Netflix password again?"
"You just can't live without electronics can you?" I asked already knowing the answer.
"No I can not. Always, are you going in to tell me the password or not?"
"Fine, it's 377unc8a2u." I replied reluctantly.
"Thank you very much." She said as she typed it in. "Yay! There are new episodes of Orange Is The New Black! "
"Seriously!" I said excitedly as I forgot completely about my homework.
"For real!" She yelped just as excited. "Let's watch it."
"Okay! I'll get popcorn!" I said.
END OF FLASHBACK
What can I say, living with your best friend is a blast, but I did have some unmentionable grades from those nights of endless giggling and tv watching. If you want my advice, take some classes together and study together, but don't live together.
