Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

That's all I can hear. The constant echoing of a gun shot ringing in my ears and against my ear drum.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

I'm trying to move my hands, but all I can feel is a sticky and liquid pool spreading around me. I know it's my blood, but I can't confirm it by seeing because my vision has gone completely black.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

"Officer, someone has been shot. Get and ambulance. I repeat, someone has been shot." I hear faintly in the back ground.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

I try getting up, but when I try to move my vision flashes as white as lightning, and it's like I'm in a tunnel. A black binding tunnel.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

I see light at the end, and beyond that... nothingness. All I want to to run towards it and leap into the unknown. It's surely better than what ever's happened to me.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing, I hear and all of a sudden I'm pulled back to consciousness, and I feel a sharp and stabbing pain on my side.

I try and sit up, but it's no use.

As faint as a whisper, I do hear a voice in the distance that sounds oddly familiar.

"She's awake.."
