6 ARE YOU SERIOUS

"I still can't believe you would be stupid enough to you fight her. Again! You idiot." Luke yells at me and I roll my eyes.

"You better go over there and apologize. Now." He says and I look at him.

"I don't know where she lives." I say and he gives me this look. Like I'm mentally ill.

"Come on. I'm driving." He says and we get in his car and he takes off. 25 minutes later we pull up to a house that's probably five minutes from the school. He gets out and I follow him to the door. He knocks and after a few minutes he pulls out his phone. It's almost two in the morning. Jack opens the door and looks at us.

"Luke you know it's almost two. In the morning?" Jack says but doesn't look like he's been sleeping.

"Yeah dummy over here got in about 12. But said Lina was still at the ring when he left. I wanted to come make sure she's home and that she is okay." Like says and I look down at my shoes.

"Alright well she is home. Come in it's freezing out here." Jack says and opens the door so we can go in. Luke steps in and I follow him into the living room. Jack walks in and looks at us.

"She's in her room. Lucy was here earlier. But her dad called her home. She came home and was all bruised. Something is bothering her. It's worse than usual Luke." I stand up and Jack looks at me.

"I need to talk to her." Jack stands and pushes me back down.

"Then you can wait until she's up. Or you can do it at school. Apparently Jake is already on the fence because she doesn't want to tell him what's wrong. He left her room all kinds of pissed off. After Lucy had left. I was going to hit him. She bruised beyond belief and he thinks he's all high and mighty. Like he deserves an answer." Jack says obviously getting worked up.

"Who's Jake?" I ask confused.

"Jake is her boyfriend. They've been dating for about a week and a half now." Jack says and I look at him confused.

"I thought you were dating her." I say and both Luke and Jack laugh at me.

"No man. Not at all. Yeah I mean we might act like it at times but she's like my family. Hell if it wasn't for her brother I mean. Forget I said that." Jack says and Luke looks at him.

"Speaking of. Has he.." Luke says and Jack shakes his head. I slip into the hallway and open the doors until I find Lina's. I finally find it and step in her room. I can hear music playing and realize it must be coming from her phone. I step over to her bed and touch her shoulder.

"Lina." I whisper. Nothing.

"Lina. Hey Lina." I whisper again. Still nothing.

"Lina pssh! Lina." I try again before she whimpers and moves. I freeze until she settles.

"Lina. Hey Li..."

"What do you think you are doing?" Jack asks and I freeze before I sigh and turn around.

"I need to talk to her." I say again and he glares at me.

"And I need you to get out of her room." He says and looks behind me. She whimpers again and starts crying in her sleep.

"Damn it. Move Marco." He says and steps to her bed.

"Hey Lina. Come on wake up." He says and shakes her lightly.

"Lina. Come on Lina it's just a dream wake up." He says shaking her again.

"What.. Oh." Luke says and walks back out. I can see her flinch before she wakes still crying. She sits so she can hug Jack. And then her phones rings. She makes no move to grab it and neither does Jack. I step close and grab it before it goes to missed called.

"Hello?" I say into the phone.

"Hello? Who the hell is this? And where is Lina?" A male voice on the other end says.

"Lina is with Jack. He's trying to calm her down. She woke up from a bad dream again." He growls.

"You know what I'm done with that girl. She can have Jack for all I care. I'm done with her. And you can tell her that." He says before the line dies. I sigh and look at Jack.

"I'm guessing that was Jake.. He says he's done." I say quietly and Lina cries harder into Jack's chest.

"Get out. Now." Jack says, his voice low. I step out of her bedroom and walk back to the living room.

"I think she just got dumped." I say quietly and Luke looks at me.

"Good. He was bad for her away. Is she okay?" He says and I shrug.

"She was crying." I say and sit on the sofa. Jack comes out after a few minutes and looks at us.

"She's okay. It was just that dream again. But she is single now. And she doesn't want to sleep alone. So she's sleeping in my room tonight. You guys are staying here so pick out where you want to sleep." Jack days and holds his hand out. Luke rolls his eyes but puts his keys in Jack's hand. Jack walks over to the door and locks it. And then disappears into what I believe is the kitchen. I hear another door lock and realize he looked the back door. He comes back out and walks down the hall again.

"Night." He calls and Luke looks at me.

"What the hell?" I say confused.

"That's how it is with us. None of us want any of the others driving so late so we take the keys." Luke says and I nod.

"I'm going to sleep. Night." He says and walks away. I lay down on the floor flat on my back. Falling asleep soon after. What feels like 5 minutes but was probably longer I feel I blanket thrown over me. I blink a few times before I rub my eyes and look around.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I was gonna get water I couldn't sleep. And when I walked pass you looked cold. I felt bad." Lina says her voice soft and quiet. I nod slightly and look up at her.

"Thank you. How come you couldn't sleep?" I ask her and she sighs.

"Well you mean besides Jake? I can never sleep after I have that bad dream." She says quietly.

"You wanna talk about it?" I ask and she shakes her head.

"No thank you. I'm sorry for waking you I didn't mean to. I'll let you sleep now. Um. You can sleep on the sofa if you'd like." She says and before I can respond she runs back to Jack's room. I sigh and lay down again. Taking up her offer and laying on the sofa. Falling asleep quickly after.
